Review:

Reluctant Muse is a shorter story of about 75 pages that is a bit sweet and a bit hot.  It has a little D/s play that spices things up, but it seems forced and immature – that may have to do with the age of the characters. This is a story that a little spanking and bondage that spices it up. 

Carrie and Jamie are college students who meet at work.  Jamie pushes Carrie in a lot of ways to help her overcome her past and self-esteem issues.  Those situations work, but not that great.  While sometimes we can see thatJamie cares for Carrie, the way he pushes makes him feel like more of a bully than a Dominant.

I did like Jamie’s support of Carrie and some of the ways he pushed her to overcome her fears.  I had problems with Reluctant Muse when it comes to editing – names were wrong in several spots.  This story also seemed disjointed at times.  While it has its sexy, hot moments, the overall story just didn’t flow well for me.
