Review:
This book consists of four short stories that revolve around Nano the slave, Mistress Nemesis, and her transvestite assistant Vicky. I have to admit I had a very difficult time with this book for a few reasons. First of all, I am a Domina myself and I don’t get into “sissy” slaves or forced bi. There are a few instances of forced bi that I just simply couldn’t get into because of my own personal tastes. I also couldn’t wrap my head around some of the punishments doled out to poor Nano. He is made to wear a black lycra jumpsuit and mask to lose his personality. He is then threatened to be left by himself this way in the shadows of a dungeon so he will feel like he is losing his very existence. Blech. Not my type of punishment at all.
There is one story that takes place in a secluded cottage and a stranger walks by a window. They go back and forth with who will open the door when knocking starts because of their various forms of fetish wear and undress. It’s played up like it’s a big deal and I didn’t see it that way at all.
I’d like to add I found the use of the word “whilst” and “debauched” annoying, but hey, I’m a midwestern girl in the US. I also want to mention that having the book on pages that are beige with fancy scroll work along the edges and bottom did not make the book any better. In fact, it was distracting to me and bordered on tacky.
I hate that I come off sounding bitchy but this book just wasn’t a good match to me. I didn’t like the forced bi and I never felt like the Mistress had any feelings for her subs. And I couldn’t understand why the subs were so devoted to someone who acted and spoke like she could care less if they were there or not. And while (whilst) this wasn’t for me maybe someone else would like it. Perhaps someone debauched.
