As the first of what has the potential to be an ongoing series this novella packs some punch for being a rather small package. While the premise is formulaic, it is engaging enough to give the characters a depth so that you’ll care how they connect. There is the beginning of a good D/s dynamic – which will hopefully develop further in subsequent works. This has the potential to be an expansive series.
The sex is well written; illustrative enough to be HOT, but subtle enough to leave it to your imagination to fill in the details as you
envision them. It will be a pleasure to see how young Chalice matures. It definitely left me saying “Wait, there’s got to be more…”
