 Review:

Womanizing bad boy turns submissive: talented but arrogant screenwriter Mackenzie is used to getting his own way and any woman he wants – except his agent’s beautiful assistant Rebecca. The redhead continues to resist his advances until he follows her home one night and the power dynamics between them start to shift.

Mackenzie, one of Hollywood’s most sought-after screenwriters, has a passion for alcohol and women, and is used to getting his own way. The only woman who seems to see right through his manipulative antics is strong-willed Rebecca, which only makes him want her more. One night he follows her home drunk and she finally sees something in him and allows him to spend the night. Much to his surprise, Rebecca reveals herself as a dominant mistress who allows him to enter into a relationship with her, but on her terms. Mackenzie becomes Rebecca’s slave and is humiliated, whipped and introduced to her strap-on. He takes to Rebecca’s lifestyle with surprising ease and finds himself willingly submit to her every desire, including a chastity device he wears at all times.

I enjoyed reading this short book and found Mackenzie’s transformation from predator to prey fascinating. There wasn’t as much focus on the character’s emotional state as I would have liked, but this is forgivable as the story has only 13,000 words. Personally, I didn’t like the emphasis on the chastity device, which seemed to be a recurring theme, and I thought the entire book could have been a bit kinkier. Having said that, the power shift between the two main characters was very interesting to read, and I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in D/s, especially those new to BDSM.
