BDSM is the basis of this story about a married couple. If a reader is looking for erotic stimulation from reading about sex and BDSM scenes then they will be disappointed here. This isn’t a story of graphic sex, but more about self discovery as the couple learn about each other with a Pro-Domme as their teacher.

The wife discovers that her husband of seven years, hence the title, is seeing another woman. She explodes. The husband sends her a letter as she refuses to talk to him explaining the other woman is not sexual, but meets his needs to submit and give.

A few days later a friend convinces the wife to contact the Pro-Domme who her husband has been seeing. From there the story is about what dominance and submission means, especially for submissives who crave it to the level the husband does.

The actual BDSM from this point on in the story is used as demonstration for the wife and the basis for her learning to understand and eventually provide the dominance necessary for their marriage to survive.

For those readers looking to understand a submissive personality the conversation between the Domme and the wife is rewarding.

There are passages of conversation that explain why some submissives feel the way they do that make this worth reading. One most likely will not totally agree with the author’s insight, but it should force you to into some kind of a self examination if you are a submissive.
