When you first started writing, did you have any idea you’d be writing BDSM/kinky books? Do you write in any other genre?

I never really thought about writing erotica when I first started writing (I was young and naïve). It kind of came about when I picked up several badly written erotica books that gave no thrill and I said, I can do better than this and from the popularity of my books, I have. While I am focused on writing Science Fiction and Fantasy, I always have an erotica project going at the same time. Erotica is many times a playground for the mind and I like having something to keep my mind exercised. Maybe one of these days I’ll be tempted to combine my genres and do a Fantasy or Science Fiction erotica piece.

Do you use a pen name? If yes (or no), why?

I do use a pen name because I like to keep my kinky side hidden from those who don’t know what is really hiding under my prim and proper exterior. Only a few people get the privilege of knowing the REAL me.

Do you write BDSM/kink erotica based on what you find interesting or sexy, or do you write more for your audience?

What I write in erotica has to appeal to me or the story won’t be good. A good story, besides needing a plot, needs to activate as many senses as possible and in erotica there’s the extra sense of sensuality.

What have you written in the past that you think your BDSM/kink fans might find interesting?

My first two novels, Bonded and Branded, really go together but I think I like my most recent the best, The Pirate with Red Pants.

Do you do any “hands-on” research when you’re writing BDSM/kinky themed erotica?

I’m never quite sure if the ‘hands on research’ comes before or after my erotica writing sessions. One almost always leads to the other, but some things are better played out in the mind than in real life.

At this point in your career, do you think you’ll write more BDSM/kinky erotica?

At this point in my career, I will definitely continue to write erotica. It is fun to write and fun to read and fun to… well you know.

Who is your favorite BDSM/kinky author? Movie?

It’s hard to say which movie I like best. I have two- The Pink Lagoon (lots of sexy bodies, good plot and some really fun moments) and Personals: College Girl Seeking… or almost anything with Renee Rae.

What is your favorite flavor ice cream? And since this interview is for BDSM Book Reviews, vanilla is not an option!

My favorite flavor of ice cream has to be peanut butter with chocolate and of course lots of whipped cream and caramel sauce with a cherry on the top.

I agree with you about the badly written erotica — and it’s gotten worse with anyone being able to self-publish the minute they put fingers to keyboard. Speaking of publishing, who do you publish through and/or where can I find your books for sale?

I like the prim and proper persona hiding the kinky woman underneath-I’m a bit that way myself. Thanks for the opportunity!
