Charlie Yates is desperate. It’s almost Christmas and his flight home from college has been delayed. For days. Charlie promised his little sister Ava he’d be home for her first holiday season since going into remission from leukemia. Now he’s stuck on the opposite coast and someone else grabbed the last rental car. Someone he hasn’t even spoken to in four years. Someone who broke his heart.

Gavin Bloomberg’s childhood friendship with Charlie ended overnight after a day of stolen kisses. With years of resentment between them, they don’t want to be in the same room together, let alone a car. But for Ava’s sake, Gavin agrees to share the rental and drive across the country together.

As they face unexpected bumps along the road, can Charlie and Gavin pave the way to a future together?

Review:

This is a wonderful holiday m/m Christmas love story. Both characters are incredibly likeable and have very distinct voices. I found myself rooting for Charlie and Gavin to get together. And boy do they! The sex is way hot and once they start fucking I found myself hoping they would end up with a HEA. They are such a great couple. If you like m/m or are looking to dip your toes into the m/m genre I highly recommend this.

For her birthday, Beth Jones was given a Newbie Package from the local BDSM club, The Iron Bar. Her so-called friends had spotted her submissive side and decided it was time she quit hiding it. But when the night comes that she finally gets to play her first scene, she is no longer sure who she is. Is she the sweet submissive in the borrowed Jimmy Choo shoes? Or is she the Goth chick with the black eyeliner and spiked hair?

No one could pin down Master Chris’s taste in submissives. He liked them in all shapes and sizes, but his favorite subs were newbies. The Iron Bar trusted him to introduce the Lifestyle to newcomers and he loved the chance to do it. No commitment necessary. But the newbie he knows as “Miss Jones” gets under his skin. When a crisis causes an interruption, Chris has to track down the elusive Miss Jones with only a Jimmy Choo shoe to guide him.

Review:

This is a relatively quick read that has a Cinderella vibe to it. One thing that stuck out to me was the “voice” of the main character, Beth. Smart and funny, I found myself really liking her and hoping she gets the happily ever after she deserves. If you are looking for something with BDSM and a lighter tone to it, then this is for you.
