Review:

Screwing up has never been so good as it has been for Ashley Wallace.  Ashley makes the mistake of running over a person’s lawn and totally ripping up their sod.  She is not able to pay for it through money, but she does meet the home owner who has a very different offer for her.  No, it isn’t sex for repayment but it is pretty darn close.  Daniel and Evangeline are in a TPE which is not unfamiliar to Ashley.  When they make her an offer to become a toy for them, she leaps at the chance.

This story is a little over the top and a lovely fantasy.  For those who want a sexy threesome and the ultimate revenge upon a mean girl, this book is for you.  For me, it was a bit too hokey at times and I may have rolled my eyes more than once.  Still, I enjoyed the book. Mr. Walker is a new to me author who writes out the fantasies women tend to have in their mind when they are just daydreaming.

Who wouldn’t want a millionaire to bring them into their close circle of friends, rising them up from the brink of poverty?  Who wouldn’t want a new home which is totally out of their means along with a brand spanking new job and a luxurious new car?  There are all hallmarks of a dream for a sugar daddy.  I confess when I was in my teens, I had these wishful dreams too.  Which is why I ended up enjoying where Mr. Walker took me in this BDSM romantic fantasy where a woman is swept off her feet and lives the good life.

Daniel comes off as a perfect rich dominant.  He is the kind naive females dream about.  His brand of BDSM is a nice blend of fantasy and reality.  Some of the things he does to Evangeline are spot on.  Others are an exaggerated author’s creative license.  One thing that bugged me about him was the locks of hair he cut off of Evangeline.  This really irked me and I neared ended the book there with a did not finish.  However, I pushed through and Mr. Walker redeems his character at the end with a nice twist.  Daniel turns out to be not that perfect, which I like.  The hero worship he receives from Evangeline and Ashley was too much for me though.  I wanted to gag several times as they went over the top in almost romantic prose about how domly dom he is compared to the lessor mortals fawning at his feet.  None could compare to his majestic kingly state.  All he needs is a crown and a gold riding crop to rule over all the little kinky people.  As I said, some of the story was a bit exaggerated which produced unintentional hilarious moments for me.

What I think some people will like is the plotting to bring about the destruction of a nasty person.  This is something I think many people can relate to and enjoy witnessing.  Is it a juvenile pipe dream?  Most definitely, but this is a fun story where it seems to just “all work out”.  Overall, this is a BDSM fantasy which tickles some kinky fantasies as well as pushes some pet peeves.  It is a fun read and recommended to kinky readers who enjoy erotica with a vengeful twist.

Review:

Hiding from life by selling oneself into a slave auction is generally not recommended. Paige is a screw up.  There is no way to mince words about her life.  She is unable to cope with her life because of unresolved issues from her past.  This set up for her to delve into the BDSM lifestyle is a train wreck waiting to happen.  I rated this a three star because the story is well written even if I didn’t enjoy it.  In addition, the BDSM is more or less accurate even if Paige goes in with an abusive mind set.

I did not like Paige at all. She is dismissive of the BDSM lifestyle and feels it is just a way to get a sugar momma. Her lack of respect and bratty attitude would have me showing her to the door. For me, she is a loathsome character with no redeeming qualities. She goes into BDSM for all the wrong reasons and she proceeds to bring down a dominant with her messed up issues. Delilah is an admirable dominant. She is loving, strict and appreciates the lifestyle and what it has to offer. She makes the best of a bad situation. Her downfall is the toxic relationship with a selfish brat who is only out for herself.

One could say that Paige is a troubled girl and because of her past, she should receive a pass. Oh, boo hoo hoo, get a therapist, don’t screw up someone else’s life. Paige view on BDSM is hostile and with a holier than thou attitude. She grates on me as she brings those around her down. This sexual awaking journey should really be more of a slap her out of her own pity party intervention. Her responses to BDSM scenes are as expected for someone who isn’t into it and just wants to be in it for the sex. She’s all about the pussy and what she can get out of it. Ms. Krieger does an excellent job of representing the type of people flocking to the lifestyle after reading Fifty Shades of Grey. It is a sad commentary and all too real.

The conflicts in this story are well done and resolved by the end of the book. The kink scenes are done in a realistic manner, down to when something doesn’t go right. The abduction part is a bit much for some, however, I have friends in the lifestyle who have done abduction scenes similar to this one. It is usually pretty hawt and terrifying in one. This one made me feel a bit dirty only because Paige is such a screw up. Can you tell I do not like her? Overall, this is a more down to earth representation of how BDSM can happen in real life. Sadly, it is not all whips, floggings and roses. This BDSM tale is recommended to kinky readers who want read when things are not perfect and still turn out fine.+

Partial Blurb:

This is the story of Jack Avery, a computer technician and recent transplant from the big city to small town Flaxville, where he meets Nadja Koenig, the town librarian. Jack moved to get away from the city, but there are other things he hopes also to have left behind. Nadja just wants her library to remain the familiar place she grew up knowing and loving. But when she sees all the technological changes coming, will it be the same place for her? She feels threatened by Jack’s plans to install a computerized check-out system, but is intrigued by his air of command and self-assured confidence. Will his dark secrets from the past drive her away? And how will she react when he offers to introduce her to the BDSM toy box under his bed?

Review:

How, indeed? Well, it’s a good thing Nadja is a librarian, because she had access to BDSM reading material before Jack ever moved to town. And good thing he happens to already have a box full of toys, since Nadja thought a little D/s might be fun to try. And what a coincidence that, out of all the people in the world, she and Jack met on an online site the night before actually meeting in person. And he just happens to be the computer tech the town hired to upgrade the local library. Just go figure, won’t you?

On one of the first mornings in his new home, Jack has all of his BDSM toys spread out on his bed to better organize them. But nosey Larry appears at the door, and Jack won’t allow him to come in, due to the display of toys. (Perhaps Jack is one of those people who keeps his bed by the front door.) And who, exactly, is Larry, you ask? He’s a character you’ll love to dislike, as he more than adequately represents a composite of the small-town busybody. But Larry understandably resents anyone who might want to put their hot little hands on “his” surprisingly chaste town librarian.

It’s difficult to fathom why Nadja would fear a technological advance for her library. It’s not as if she’s utilizing tin cans and string for phones. Be that as it may, Nadja and Jack find they have the hots for one another, and the author creates clever banter between the two as their attraction grows. Larry always shows up where he is least wanted, keeping the story somewhat entertaining. As for Jack’s “dark secrets,” it was a bit of a stretch to believe anyone would care to expend any energy whatsoever to destroy Jack’s fun-filled, exciting and chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity to computerize a library check-out system.

“Nadja’s Choice” is a fast, BDSM-lite read. The plot isn’t terribly exciting, nor is the BDSM.  But the characters are rather cute and the dialogue is often quite clever.

All Lucas knows is life as a slave. He has only stolen moments with Bolton to live for. He is a slave and Bolton is a free man in this world it would be certain death if they are found out but that does not stop Lucas from craving Bolton and his love. When Lucas is sold to another master Bolton must go in search of the man he loves. Will it be too late for them when Bolton finally finds Lucas and sets him free? Can their love heal the wounds that Lucas has? Will Lucas be able to forgive Bolton ans find a way to a happy ever after? So many questions to be answered.

This is a nice introduction to this new shifter world. Emotions are strong and love is on the line in this book. Evil has taken hold and the good shifters must fight to save the innocents. I enjoyed seeing Lucas grow and change in this story. He quickly learns and matures. He has a good heart and loves Bolton. No matter what he is determined to find a way back to love. Bolton is more than just an Alpha and he must make a hard choice between his mate and his kind. The two men are strong and support each other nicely, making a good couple.

The author weaves a wonderful story full of danger and action alongside the romance. With great world building and character development this is a book that should not be missed.

Review:

This is purely a cock-teasing short serial story. For those who are expecting some nasty dirty f/f dominance, prepare to be disappointed. This is only part one of three. Not a fan of a book broken up into three short pieces, this may be frustrating. However, for those who enjoy a graphic detailed scene of a female submissive being woman-handled by two lesbians whilst sucking cock, this is the book for you.

Ms. Bliss is a new to me author who puts my horny humiliation and training fantasies with ink to paper. Kitten is a female who wants to obey her male dominant. As part of this obedience, it means a short two week training with two female dominants. It hints to be intensive, humiliating and perhaps all too sexually exhaustive. This story is focused on just Kitty’s good-bye fuck with her lover before they separate for a short time. This is just one long drawn out sex scene from Kitty’s perspective. It is hawt and perhaps a bit too much for some. For those who are jaded, it is a bit mild and one can only hope there is more sadistic training for Kitty.

Ms. Bliss’s storyline piques my interest and I can only hope she writes more dark erotica. Debauchery and deviance seems to be the theme for the next two books in this series. I am intrigued and after reading this book, want to read the next two. They promise to have more sexy shenanigans for Kitten. Recommended for kinky readers who enjoy pet-play and sexual training themes.

Review:

Standing from the outside looking in is always tough.  When one is competent, loyal and wants to give so much, it is hard to understand why one is unwanted.  Ryan Bennett is the kind of cop who exemplifies ethics and rigidity.  He follows the rules and he does his best to serve.  He is hard working and not afraid of taking more classes to give him an extra edge.  Whilst he excels in his technical or “specialized” skills, his communication skills need a little bit of work.  He is not exactly a team player and he does not understand why he is constantly rejected.

New to me author, Ms. Tomlinson does a great job of showing Ryan’s point of view.  From a character building perspective, this book rocks.  I felt so badly for Ryan.  He keeps trying.  He is amazing but he doesn’t understand the human aspect.  I can relate and wanted to see Ryan finally find acceptance.  He strives to be in SWAT not understanding he needs to be accepted and trusted as a team member.  He may have the skills, but in the heat of the job, people revert to trust.  The team is divided about Ryan.  His conservative opinions of rules and regulations do not help.  What also doesn’t help is that he wants one of the SWAT team’s leaders, Sergeant Logan Pierce.  This unrequited desire to be submissive to the dominant in Logan only makes it more awkward.  For me, it seems as if Ryan is always getting kicked when he tries to reach out for a connection.  This makes him close down more and causes more miscommunications.  When another dominant takes interest in Ryan, this is when it becomes interesting.

Detective Sam Roberts is not looking for long term but he is interested in the closed off submissive, Ryan.  When the two play together, it is clear this is no simple hook up.  Neither knows how to proceed without fumbling.  This initial start of a D/s relationship with the submissive only interested in bottoming is realistic and amusing.  The false starts and frustrations are easily relatable.  When the two open up to each other and foster trust, this is when my heart breaks.  Ryan shares his desire and it is clear, he feels he is always rejected as not good enough.  For someone who is so competent and giving, it is hard to understand why he is always left in the cold.  Others may not like Ryan and believe he has a stick up his butt.  I see him as the prized German Shepard that never had a stable owner and is abused through neglect.  This is not to say that love of a good man is what makes Ryan whole.  It is to say those who need to be accepted for who they are, when no one wants them, it leaves them feeling broken and damaged.  This is a heinous crime in my book because it isn’t visible pain, only internal which sometimes is worse.  Ryan is a complex character who is not easily liked and often misunderstood.

The BDSM between Sam and Ryan is good.  It is mild play, mostly because Sam is trying to coax Ryan to trust him.  The sex is erotic and enjoyable to read.  The BDSM element in this book could actually be left out and still make an excellent story.  This is because the plot and character building is what attracts the reader.  The kink is a nice little spice to kick up the heat.  This is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone.  This m/m erotic suspense is recommended to kinky readers who have a soft spot for characters with sticks up their butt.

Review:

Load up on batteries and make sure your vibrators are charged – Ms. Sarai is in the house. When I first picked up this book, it was purely because of the ridiculous title and the author. A fan of Ms. Sarai, I could not help but want to see what she would do with this overly cliché subject. I expected to have steamy spank-worthy scenes leading to some “me-time”. What I did not expect is to have the gazillionaire to be the female and the male to be the virgin. This is not a femdom story, it is still maledom. Caught off guard, the story hooks me in.

What I enjoyed and liked about this story is that it pokes fun at a trite theme and makes it fresh. The tongue in cheek presentation of uber rich wanting a dewy eyed ingénue is masterfully done in this story. For one thing, there is character development. Rachel Zelinsky may be very rich, but her work ethic and how she thinks is relate-able from a business woman’s perspective. Theo Moore’s character flirts with the current popular misunderstood Asperger male. Right now, these types of men are hot and sexy. I cannot explain this phenomena, but Ms. Sarai does a good job of showing why someone like Theo is attractive to a woman like Rachel. The conflict in this story may be a bit hard to understand for those who do not work in a fast paced IT business world. For me, it makes total sense and helped me appreciate the situation better.

The erotica is blazing hawt. The sex is fun, kinky and a breath of fresh air. Why? Because it involves two people who are human and trying new things together. From a jaded reader, seeing through the eyes of someone exploring their fetishes makes me fall in love with kink all over again. What I also liked is how Ms. Sarai did not make this a “BDSM” story. It is a romance where two people get a little frisky. They try new toys and they like bondage. The kink is fluid and all about how the Rachel and Theo enjoy it. There is no right or wrong. There are no munches or classes. In fact, when Rachel wants to bring Theo to a BDSM club, it all goes south. It is interesting to see from Theo’s perspective why he responded so negatively to the suggestion and Rachel’s previous involvement in the lifestyle. This kinky erotica is recommended to those who enjoy a well written story with smexy good scenes.

Review:

Where is the rest of this book? For femdom readers, this is a tantalizing teaser from new to me author, Mr. Fisher. After reading each story, I hoped for more.  All too quickly, this book can be devoured by a hungry reader. This short book contains six tales where the women rule and the men willingly submit. The femdom in here is more realistic in the sense that the women may be cruel, but they are not bat shit crazy abusive.  For the most part, the erotic humiliation is what gets each of the men off.  Some of kink involves public scenes. The men may express their displeasure as when one man’s tasty prized deli meat is given away others. However, each of the men are still aroused and ready to serve.

There is little character development and basically a rough sketched out plot to these stories. There is little need for world building as all are set in easy to understand contemporary settings. What captures a reader’s attention is the description and set up of each scene. Most of the stories are from the submissive male’s perspective. This is different and quite enjoyable. These fantasies can easily be seen as ones featuring in Penthouse Letters, the male submissive edition. Mr. Fisher does a nice job of picking six different stories all equally steamy.

My favourite one is the Boy Toy Furniture. This one I can completely see happening. In addition, the objectification is done in an appealing and seductive manner.  What I like is that these stories may prompt a female dominant to try these scenes in real life. I can easily see the Boy Toy Furniture at a CFNM party in the community I am in. This stimulating short collection of six stories is recommended for femdom readers who enjoy the submissive male’s perspective.

Review:

If you want it edgy, rough and no holds bar, this is the book for you. New to me author Xan West brings an erotic collection that will enhance, arouse and maybe push you beyond your limits. Each of these stories are bite size pieces showcasing how people enjoy their kink. None of this is for the newbie looking for some light reading. These are the fantasies which sound so wrong and yet feel so good. This is not a romance and this is not a fluffy happily ever after. Instead, we take a peek into the wilder side of kink with some intense rough body play.

For example, in some of these stories, there is punching and kicking. Does this happen? Absolutely. Is it very prevalent in real life? It really depends upon the kink community. What I did appreciate is how West indicates where the punching and kicking contacted – specifically muscle groups. If it were face, stomach or ribs, I’d have called bullshit and considered this BDSM hostile. Instead for those who are in the lifestyle, they may easily recognize scenes that occur at a play party. For those who want to see how needle play can be erotic and scary, there is a delightful story showcasing this one. For those who enjoy humiliation and mind fucks, there are plenty of stories covering these aspects too. What you will not find in this story is a single vanilla scene.

This being said, there are a few scenes in this book which could cause triggers. For those who have been abused as a child, there is one story in particular which may put you ill at ease. I want to be clear, at no point is there child abuse in here or glamification of it. What is in here is a bottom who was abused as a child and is into ageplay. This may squick a few readers out.

What may be confusing about this book are the characters in each story. If you are a person who requires clearly defined gender roles, this book is not for you. The gender fluidity in this collection is what makes the book different and refreshing. The categories of maledom and femdom apply loosely. What we do experience is erotic power exchange between two or more individuals who accept each other for who they are, not what is dangling or not dangling between their legs. Because honestly, does it matter a person’s sex if you are able to share intimacy with that person who cares about you?

It is clear each of these stories is specially picked to be in this collection. It is a pleasure to see so many different variations. It is rare to have so many flavors yet have two specific themes consist throughout the book: gender fluidity and rough intense kink. Recommended for kinksters who want a courtside seat into the wilder side of kink.

Talk about an emotional read. This book took me for a ride and I did not want to get off. The author does a wonderful job of pulling the emotions right out of you. Each of the main characters endears themselves to the reader and has you cheering on love. Emma is a sweet young woman who is wronged from the very start. Her mother has made sure that Emma will be an outsider for all of her life. When Emma’s mother dies she is lost and finds herself in a new territory with new shifters but can she ever find peace? Ben and Ryder have their own problems to deal with and when Emma is thrown into the mix the chaos begins.  Add in emotions and attractions and we have a wonderful adventure to read.

I am a big fan of Cherise Sinclair and I know that when I pick up one of her books I will be in for an emotionally satisfying read. This book hits the nail right on the head. I was laughing one minute and tearing up the next. While Emma is naive because of her upbringing she is still a strong and likable woman. Ben and Ryder are both good men underneath all their gruffness. Each man is special in his own way and I adored Minette. Watching both Minette and Emma grow stronger and braver was a wonderful read. The love between all of them was beautiful to see. I also enjoyed many of the supporting characters. They are great friends and the camaraderie was a nice thing to see. The people stood together to fight a common enemy. Emma and her men learn that some things are worth the risk and fighting for.  I hope that there is more from this word and its inhabitants.
