Review

Erica get conned by her best friend into making a bet, which results in her going to Dangerous Liaison for a weekend. Conal is only training Erica as a favor for a friend, but ends up wanting to keep her.

I enjoyed reading Kinky Bet. This is a good story about a young woman that wants to explore BDSM, but has been afraid to take that step. The beginning of the story is very humorous in some ways, especially when Erica realizes the whole bet was a setup to get her to explore those feelings.

The story flows quite well, and I did not want to put it down until I finished it. The scenes are imaginative and the chemistry between Erica and Conal is hot. The author did a good job showing how scary it can be when you are just starting and learning depending on the Dominant and what you may be subject to. In this case, because of timeframes, some things were accelerated that Erica learned and was subject to. The checking about her safeword at each step and checking in that she wanted to continue was something I liked as safety was a constant subject that was brought up as well as the trust issue that subs need to have for their Dom.

This is the first book by Ms. Nash that I have read, and I am looking forward to reading more of her stories.

REVIEW

I like BDSM novels one of two ways I suppose. Detailed and realistic (as far as rituals and rules) or very hardcore, dark and demeaning (femdom in particular). This had a bit of both. Marcia is the owner of a fetish wear company called Skintight. She has her employees ‘filling in’ as the part of a full-time sub. How so? She does not want her peace interrupted at home so she dominates her employees with discipline and punishments they gladly accept.

She has an interview so the other POV in the story is of a woman brand to seeing how things are run. I liked that as well because we as readers are experiencing this Mistress along with the new employee. Quite nicely done!

I have read two novels by this author and I will read more. She writes BDSM in such a way you can tell she’s either had personal experience or done her homework. I personally know when a submissive enjoys BDSM on a certain level and can express it in words that reading it can be just as enjoyable as administering the pleasure, or pain.

Review:

This was a fun romp into the world of BDSM and polyamorous relationships with a funny, caring hunk of a Dom, a bratty sub and a bratty switch keeping the reader entertained.

Q has lusted after Sabrina for years. But while Q is admittedly bi-sexual, Sabrina insists she is straight and refuses to give in to her attraction to Q, although they are friends and roommates.  The situation changes the night they go ghost hunting at a haunted mansion and run into Jude.

Jude is taking his last summer off before starting medical school and is refurbishing the old mansion. When the two girls come across his path, they begin a three way relationship that all are enjoying. Knowing Jude was leaving at the end of the summer, none of them planned to become emotionally involved. Can a straight sub, a bi-sexual switch, and a loving Dom have a lasting relationship?

I loved Jude. While he could be very creative with his playthings, he never did anything that wasn’t for their pleasure. He even enjoyed their brattiness-even when that led to his needing a safeword. Q invoked the reader’s sympathy, and Sabrina added a touch of lightness to the trio.

The book does contain bondage, whipping, flogging, F/F scenes, and F/F/M action.

A satisfying read by a talented group of writers.

Review:

This exploration of a D/s relationship between a fiercely independent woman and a dedicated Dom is a good read, with a satisfying story and a fully developed relationship between the main characters.

Julia is shocked at the wedding of her best friend to see her friend kneel and ask for her husband’s collar. Before she can leave, Marcus steps forward to answer her questions-and offers to show her a night of submission.

After escaping a relationship that verged on abusive, Julia isn’t eager to lose herself to another man. But Marcus offers a temptation she can’t refuse-one night as a submissive.

The one night leads to several, and Marcus realizes he wants Julia full time. But Julia still insists she doesn’t want that. Can the two of them overcome their differing viewpoints?

The book is hot and contains bondage, spanking, flogging, tawsing, and more.

Synopsis:

Reeling from the loss of her boyfriend, job, and self-respect, Sami Peters is shocked to find herself at the inaugural BDSM Boot Camp at Clifftop Fantasies. If that isn’t enough, she’s partnered with not one but two semipro football players, Andrew Jackson “AJ” Weatherford and Lance “Crash” Carter.

AJ is pining over his ex, and the normally happy-go-lucky Crash is distressed by the amount of vegetables in the cooking at Clifftop. Sami finds herself taking classes with these two in rope bondage, needle play, and scene negotiation, among other alarming topics.

On top of everything else, Sami’s best friend Carly and most of the Grandpointe leather community are under attack by a moral crusader. Can Sami, AJ, and Crash save the community and themselves by exploring this new lifestyle together? Should she submit to the guys as they learn to be Doms, or are they just out slumming?

Review:

‘Double Dom Fantasies’ is the third book in the BDSM Menage Fantasies series by Cassidy Browning. This book can be read as a standalone, but it does help to read as part of the series.  The author did a great job writing this story. She did a lot of research into the BDSM lifestyle and all of the different fetishes to be able to explain it in the manor she did.

The chemistry between Crash, AJ, and Sami was off the charts.  They were a great fit together.  Without AJ and Crash, I am not sure that Sami would have taken any of the classes that were offered at the boot camp.  I loved how Crash embraced being a dom and stopped all the fumbling around.  The ending was great and heart melting.  I hope as the series goes on that we find out more about this trio.

Short description

What do you do if the people who are supposed to shield you when you’re at your most vulnerable are the ones who hurt you the deepest? A modern twist on the myth of Hades and Persephone set in Sydney, ‘Calling Pomegranate’ is an exploration of grief through two very different people trying to deal with the loss of their parents.

Review:

When two people who pretty much dislike each other on sight end up having a night of sex that is more than a little disastrous, where do you go from there?

Love hurts. A lot. For Sean and Cary, a chance meeting at a party for Sean’s friend leads to a relationship that will test the boundaries of love and despair and everything in between. A modern day twist on the tale of Persephone and Hades, this book had a bite that really hooked me after the first couple of pages.

Sean is an out of work trust fund baby who is still reeling from the death of his mother years before. Cary is a co-worker of Trudy, wife of Sean’s best friend. Animosity between Trudy and Sean can go under the category of epic, it’s so intense. When Cary comes onto Sean at a party at his best friend’s house and they have the worst sex ever, it would seem that would be it. Not quite. Another chance encounter finds the two paired up again and inexplicably they begin to see each other.

Synopsis:

Sara Lonneman is a shy, quiet college student that is struggling to keep up with the demands of her family back home in Wisconsin and her desire to have time to herself a few states away. She falls into the lap of bad boy Chris who physically and emotionally ignites a side of Sara that she herself did not know existed. When a strange turn of events puts Sara right in to Chris’ hands, will she learn to embrace his teachings, or will she run from the man who could help her learn what true submission means?

Review:

‘Just One Night’ is the prequel to the Learning to Let Go series by Hazel St. James. Sarah is a shy and socially awkward girl struggling to adjust to life away from home. Chris is a motorcycle riding bad boy. Sarah and Chris had one night together before life gets in there way for more. The sex scenes between the two are very hot and steamy.

The Professor’s role in their one night confuses me. I did not see what he really added to the story. I can’t wait to read more from this series. At 70 pages this story is not long enough. Overall, this is a great read.

While at a club, Johnny spots a gorgeous man across the room and immediately feels the pull of the dark and dangerous, passionate sexual energy that is Eric Mende. Frightened by his own reaction, and thinking he has nothing to offer a man like Eric, Johnny runs.

And Eric pursues.

Eric yearns to teach Johnny about love and erotic submission, but for Johnny, the price of accepting those gifts is high, maybe too high. His family, his job, the life he’s always known, could all be forfeited if he follows his heart.

Review:

An amazing read! This is one of the few stories that you can’t put down until you finish and still want more. Golden Boy is the first book in a two part series by Claire Thompson. The writing was very good and believable and the way she wrote this story real people could have these problems.

The sex scenes were very hot! The author did a great job making sure that the BDSM was not too eccentric or over the top. She was very detailed in all the sex scenes. The one complaint I have was the way the book ended. It was cut off, almost like she worked to make two books from one large book.

Review:

Cally is an investigative journalist and has been sent to apply for a job with Jake Stone. Her boss Max has set this up on the pretense that he wants the scoop on Jake Stone because he goes thru so many P. A.’s.  He tells Cally there is a promotion in it for her if she gets the down and dirty on this guy. In reality,  Max is setting Cally up to be trained by Jake to be an obedient sub so he can finally have his way with her.

Jake is very good at what he does and soon discovers that there is so much more to Cally and he loves the challenge. She is discovering that the more Jake demands of her the more she gets turned on. It is an intense few days and Jake has put her through more in this short time than he ever has done before with a woman. He is getting mixed feelings about turning her over to Max when this is over. He has a hard time watching her as part of her training he lets two of his friends play with her.

One day she turns the tables on him and has him at her mercy and applies some the same tactics to him and he lets her because no one ever has done such a thing. He is curious to see just how far she will go. He enjoys the experience immensely. While there were a few editing and situational issues ( Pg 218 she gags him, Pg 223 she has him tongue her tits and suck and again later she teases him with her nipple, Pg 224 he murmurs through the gag.) it didn’t detract from the book and could be easily fixed.

Synopsis:

Nothing is more cherished than a mate, no treasure more valued or sought after than the perfect match. With a glance at Summer’s picture, Jubal recognizes not only his intended, but a submissive whose body cries out for discipline. There’s no question about claiming her, and when he spots her entering an exclusive BDSM club, he believes it’s Fate. Summer can’t get past the foyer without a master—and that master will be him.

At the sound of Jubal’s voice, she knows he’s the one, the man she’s been searching for, the master who can demand her devotion. Any other time she’d gladly surrender her trust and her heart, as well as her body, but tonight it’s an urgent task and not the search for pleasure that’s brought her to the club.

She’s been warned about dragons. And even believing Jubal might be just such a supernatural being doesn’t lessen the ecstasy she experiences in his hands. His carnal discipline and heady torment satisfy her—even as they force her to choose between risking it all or not.

Review:

HOT!  That is one word to describe this book.  At 84 pages this was a great short story.  Dragon Master is the ninth book in the Supernatural Bonds series by Jory Strong.  Unlike many series that I have read, I was not lost starting so late in a series.  The author hardly spent any time caching you up on what has happened since the last book or what happened in the past books. I love that, as much as I want to know about the other characters I don’t want it interfere with the current story unless they are involved.
