For her birthday, Beth Jones was given a Newbie Package from the local BDSM club, The Iron Bar. Her so-called friends had spotted her submissive side and decided it was time she quit hiding it. But when the night comes that she finally gets to play her first scene, she is no longer sure who she is. Is she the sweet submissive in the borrowed Jimmy Choo shoes? Or is she the Goth chick with the black eyeliner and spiked hair?

No one could pin down Master Chris’s taste in submissives. He liked them in all shapes and sizes, but his favorite subs were newbies. The Iron Bar trusted him to introduce the Lifestyle to newcomers and he loved the chance to do it. No commitment necessary. But the newbie he knows as “Miss Jones” gets under his skin. When a crisis causes an interruption, Chris has to track down the elusive Miss Jones with only a Jimmy Choo shoe to guide him.

Review:

This is a relatively quick read that has a Cinderella vibe to it. One thing that stuck out to me was the “voice” of the main character, Beth. Smart and funny, I found myself really liking her and hoping she gets the happily ever after she deserves. If you are looking for something with BDSM and a lighter tone to it, then this is for you.

It is 1950 and Lydney Bridge Borstal institution is failing: miserably. A new governor is needed, to sweep away the corruption and rebellious behaviour. But the new governor is…a governess! Jillian Welland comes with the strict reputation of a martinet, but she gets results. She seems to enjoy inflicting punishments, as does the local magistrate, Lady Soames. With so many wild and frustrated young men under lock and key there will be all the strict discipline you might imagine. Sound intriguing? You can bet it is, especially when Miss Welland initiates the use of the cane and rubber strap to enforce her strict rule. The whipping horse in the Punishment Room is probably going to be very busy, and when she discovers her male assistant governor’s dark secret…

A tale of canes, rubber punishment straps and paddles, whipping benches, rubber corsets and gloves, and chastity tubes (amongst other things!) In a Borstal, as well as in everyday life, discipline is the key, and the key is best held by a strict woman.A

As an English Literature graduate, schooled in the classics, I kind of want to give this book a harsh review. However, as an obedient boy who craves the cane, just like every male character present here I have been well and truly beaten into submission by this spanking-heavy tale of hard femdom.

The plot is simple: a dominant woman is put in charge of a penal institution, and rules harshly over prisoners and male staff alike. And even that thin plot has a hole or two: the female characters inexplicably take great risks by confiding dangerous secrets in one another based on very little shared experience.

However, these little conveniences and short cuts can be forgiven for getting us to the good bits quicker. And they are very good: appropriately hard-hitting, exhilarating and utterly addictive.

There isn’t a lot of variety to the play, and certainly no maledom or even switching here – every woman (apart from one minor character, who is derided) is dominant, and every man is, willingly or otherwise, spanked into submission and slavery.

As arousingly as they are described, for a while there does appear to be a danger of these hard femdom spanking sessions becoming repetitive. However, that welcome variety is added later on, with enforced chastity, body worship, and unauthorised cumming being added to the mix. And on one occasion, the mistress allows herself to be restrained, but be assured, she is still very much in charge.

So overall, not much to say about the storyline, but I could count on one calloused hand the very few times I’ve been this turned on by a book before.

Going in to this book I knew I was going to find quality writing as I’ve read this author previously. While I’m not the biggest fan of science fiction I am a fan of M. Christian’s sex scenes. When they happen, they are hot and sexy. These stories are well written and clearly the product of an amazing imagination. A recommended read.

In femdom erotica the women who dominate their submissive male or female counterparts are often portrayed as cold-hearted evil bitches that delight in physically and mentally tormenting those in their thrall. If such women existed in real life they would likely be much hated and rightfully considered to be borderline or even full-blown narcissistic sociopaths. And yet, for an indeterminate number of femdom enthusiasts this persona taps into their libido and provides a thrill like no other.

As a purveyor of erotica, who am I to judge what is and isn’t erotic to others? Nonetheless, I don’t wish to help perpetuate that particular convention in femdom literature. I choose instead to offer more reality-based femdom fantasies that reflect my sensibilities and hopefully make the genre accessible to a wider base of readers.

So, consider yourself warned. Although there are plenty of fairly hardcore D/s scenarios woven into the vignettes of this anthology, the dominant women depicted possess well-integrated personalities. They are all relatively normal ladies who just happen to have a penchant for kink. Enjoy!

Review:

As a huge fan of FemDom it’s always exciting to find some new FemDom to check out. This short book is full of short stories with different Dommes and their subs and a wide variety of BDSM play. The stories are hot as hell and well written. I particularly liked the stories that included humiliation, face fucking, oral, strap on fucking, body modification, and behavior control. Basically I’m telling you I liked them all! If you are into FemDom or are curious about what it entails then you should definitely check this out. Highly recommended.

As her guests arrive for dinner, Janet is both fearful and aroused—because this is no ordinary suburban dinner party. Recently divorced and looking for something new, Janet definitely finds it when her friend Jon invites her to join an exclusive club of kinksters whose initiation is to be the host—and the entertainment.

Before the food is even served, she’s naked and on her knees, not to mention in over her head with her far more experienced guests. An avid reader of BDSM erotica, Janet learns that reality doesn’t always jibe with the fantasy as she rapidly loses control of the situation.

So begins Janet’s odyssey into a kinky suburban underground she never dreamed existed: caterers who were once dominatrices; real estate agents and lawyers by day who make twisted, sexy art by night; a stunning but sadistic insurance analyst who owns an entire stable of slaves of her own.

Well-trained submissives are in short supply out here in the ‘burbs, and Janet, blue-eyed and eager, has just the potential these people are looking for.

Kinky and sexy, intelligent and perceptive, Blue is both highly entertaining social satire and red hot erotica.

WARNING: Contains explicit material and adult situations.

Review:

LN Bey’s debut novel tells the tale of Janet, a bored and frustrated divorcee looking for a new direction in life, and Ken, a lifestyle sub who begins to realise than even his seemingly complete devotion to his Mistress has its limits. It’s a substantial work that may venture into some uncomfortable places, but is almost always exciting and consistently impressive.

The discomfort comes from the fact that any kinkster, on either side of the power play, will see reflected in some characters something they might not like about themselves. Janet struggles to differentiate being submissive and being a weak pushover, while in the opening scene her tormentors show alarmingly misanthropic and sociopathic tendencies, or in Janet’s words: “You guys are a bunch of cruel motherfuckers.”

But some of that cruelty can be so compelling. There are so many scenarios that hit the spot, sometimes from multiple angles; all depicted adroitly, realistically and sensitively in terms of content and narrative. For example the list of rules that male sub Ken has to live by will provide an informative introduction to the lifestyle for those curious about BDSM, and some serious carnal thrills from anyone who has ever, in fantasy or reality, set such rules or been bound by them.

It’s also one of a number of narrative experiments, but not all of them pay off: a section which involves Ken compiling mental lists of possible permutations slows the momentum somewhat. However, this is more than compensated for by a chapter comprised entirely of voicemail messages, which provides possibly the most ingeniously delivered and stunningly effective transitions I’ve ever read in any genre.

It’s a complete game changer and really brings the novel together, raising the bar for the story to make it an endearing character journey and a compelling study of the lifestyle. And rest assured dear reader, this is a seriously sexy read from cover to cover, with the author creating an intoxicatingly inventive series of situations and driving them deep into your imagination through sweet seduction and irresistible force.

This in an accomplished and unflinching first novel, showing great understanding of both the psychology and practicality of dominance and submission, and willing to show it in all its crazy, beautiful and confusing glory.

The war on Mars is almost over. A small band of peacekeepers are hiding from the Outlaw MC. Grim has hidden his past from the club since he joined. He punishes himself for his old sins—no relationships, no friends, nothing but taking the government down. Then he meets a member’s brother.

Valentine just escaped from the prison on Earth. He’s too young for Grim but that doesn’t stop the pull between them. As the club hunts down the last of the peacekeepers, Grim and Valentine give in to their passion. It isn’t until after that the truth about Grim’s past comes out.

Can lies be forgiven as the peace of Mars is shattered?

Review:

This is a short, futuristic, male/male romance that works. There are sexy men with cool names and amazing bodies who are focused on fighting the government oppressing them. When the sex happens it is hot as hell and the scenes end too soon. While personally I am not a big fan of science fiction the characters here were so interesting I was able to look past the other world setting. And as a woman reading this the story did make me want to get out my strap on and get my man for some quality alone time.

Review:

This book was engaging and original. The voice the author gives the characters was funny and it made you care for them when they started to care for each other. Although this is a stand alone I did get information in a newsletter that there is a sequel in the works *fingers crossed*

Parker Osborne is a freshman at university. He receives a C- on a paper and is sure that the TA has made a mistake. Adam, 23, is the TA Parker confronts. They exchange words and in the middle of their argument all hell breaks loose on campus.

It is pretty obvious the infected people resemble zombies but it is established later they are not actually undead. Parker notices some strange habits from Adam as they travel along the road together, surviving. Like how he sniffs at the air, and listens and seems to hears things from an impossibly long distance. He can also see in near darkness. Parker’s immediate concern is for his family. Once he and Adam escape the campus they see the zombie infection is widespread.

The story unfolds with Parker and Adam heading out towards the East coast. Along the way their relationship develops mainly due to proximity. Adam has a motorcycle and being that up close all the time certainly had to add to the feelings sparking between Parker and Adam. They couldn’t help but be close together all the time in other ways too. They did not want to be apart from each other when they slept because of safety reasons. Various run-ins with the infected puts Adam in the role of protector. One instance Adam “poses” as Parker’s “boyfriend”. They pretend to cuddle and of course this produces mixed desire for Parker, who is admittedly gay. Adam never confirms nor denies Parker’s assumptions about him having a girlfriend, until after they share a particularly steamy shower scene. It put a smile on my face when Adam puts Parker’s fears to rest about any doubts Parker may have had.

When it is revealed that Adam is a werewolf Parker’s reaction is favorable. He freaks out a bit but overall it is like “dude, you’re mine. Get over it.” I suppose Adam was so used to hiding his true nature that he was prepared for Parker’s ultimate rejection when he saw him “wolf out”. It fit in nicely that Adam’s immunity, strength, and werewolf abilities kept them safe while they travelled, on motorcycle, across country.

The ebb and flow of the story from beginning to end had me staying up late to try and finish “just one more chapter”. Sometimes the build up to the characters hooking up, in any erotic romance, can be a let down. There are very formulaic and predictable plots in romance and each author has their own way of making the plot devices their own. Keira Andrews had a way of making both characters very likable. Parker had a bit more introspective detail but Adam’s role was detailed in his actions as the protector. If there is ever a sequel or short story about these two. I would like to know more about Adam. This definitely felt like Parker’s story. With them going on that journey to see if his family was OK. I would highly recommend this book to fans of MM, and/or zombie themed fiction.

Review:

This is the third volume in a series of novels, charting the relationship between Jasper, a worldly movie director in his thirties and experienced Dominant and Sarah, a young historian and inexperienced submissive.

The first two volumes in the sequence are, His House of Submission and By His Command. It’s not necessary to have read the first two novels but they are so purely pleasurable that it will add to your enjoyment if you do so.

The author is one of my favorite authors in the erotic romance field, and most of her books have a good dose of sophisticated kink. She is a British author and her writing style is elegant, witty and literate and while this book in particular is full of sex and BDSM scenes it’s not at the expense of character development and a good plot.

Jasper and Sarah are drawn together not just by sexual attraction and a love of kink but also by a shared interest in Victoriana. In the first volume, Sarah is hired to catalogue Jasper’s extensive collection of historic artifacts and in this volume there’s a beautiful passage when she recalls her excitement at discovering Jasper’s most treasured collection of historic kinky implements;

“It had been the personal equivalent of uncovering the hoard of Tutankhamen and the golden king was Jasper.

How I had trembled, from a kind of holy fear, at what lay before me “.

Both Jasper and Sarah are very sympathetic, he is eager for commitment and all that it entails, while Sarah, a young woman at the beginning of her career, is more cautious.

I hope the author continues this series, especially as Jasper has persuaded Sarah to act with him in his next feature, which tells the story of a sadistic Victorian gentleman and his submissive maid.
