Review:

Screwing up has never been so good as it has been for Ashley Wallace.  Ashley makes the mistake of running over a person’s lawn and totally ripping up their sod.  She is not able to pay for it through money, but she does meet the home owner who has a very different offer for her.  No, it isn’t sex for repayment but it is pretty darn close.  Daniel and Evangeline are in a TPE which is not unfamiliar to Ashley.  When they make her an offer to become a toy for them, she leaps at the chance.

This story is a little over the top and a lovely fantasy.  For those who want a sexy threesome and the ultimate revenge upon a mean girl, this book is for you.  For me, it was a bit too hokey at times and I may have rolled my eyes more than once.  Still, I enjoyed the book. Mr. Walker is a new to me author who writes out the fantasies women tend to have in their mind when they are just daydreaming.

Who wouldn’t want a millionaire to bring them into their close circle of friends, rising them up from the brink of poverty?  Who wouldn’t want a new home which is totally out of their means along with a brand spanking new job and a luxurious new car?  There are all hallmarks of a dream for a sugar daddy.  I confess when I was in my teens, I had these wishful dreams too.  Which is why I ended up enjoying where Mr. Walker took me in this BDSM romantic fantasy where a woman is swept off her feet and lives the good life.

Daniel comes off as a perfect rich dominant.  He is the kind naive females dream about.  His brand of BDSM is a nice blend of fantasy and reality.  Some of the things he does to Evangeline are spot on.  Others are an exaggerated author’s creative license.  One thing that bugged me about him was the locks of hair he cut off of Evangeline.  This really irked me and I neared ended the book there with a did not finish.  However, I pushed through and Mr. Walker redeems his character at the end with a nice twist.  Daniel turns out to be not that perfect, which I like.  The hero worship he receives from Evangeline and Ashley was too much for me though.  I wanted to gag several times as they went over the top in almost romantic prose about how domly dom he is compared to the lessor mortals fawning at his feet.  None could compare to his majestic kingly state.  All he needs is a crown and a gold riding crop to rule over all the little kinky people.  As I said, some of the story was a bit exaggerated which produced unintentional hilarious moments for me.

What I think some people will like is the plotting to bring about the destruction of a nasty person.  This is something I think many people can relate to and enjoy witnessing.  Is it a juvenile pipe dream?  Most definitely, but this is a fun story where it seems to just “all work out”.  Overall, this is a BDSM fantasy which tickles some kinky fantasies as well as pushes some pet peeves.  It is a fun read and recommended to kinky readers who enjoy erotica with a vengeful twist.

Review:

Brandon is an extremely introverted writer, and dedicated submissive to his Dom Sean. Brandon’s books are very popular, but he is so painfully shy that attending cons or doing any of the other things popular authors do for publicity scares the life out of him. Being the good Dom he is, Sean respects Brandon’s boundaries, but he also tries to stretch his sub’s limits from time to time, which is why he convinces Brandon to attend a con.

“Con Boys are Naughty” is a short little novelette running just 40 pages. For it’s length, we get to know quite a bit about the kind of relationship Sean and Brandon have. All of which leads up to a scene they have at the con with another man. The scene is quite hot, although in itself it’s not very kinky.

While this is a very short book, it still reads as a complete story, although the characters are already engaging enough that you will probably wish the book were a little longer. It’s quite clear that Brandon has a back story that goes some way to explaining why he is the way he is, but we don’t get to know any of it. It’s this added dimension that makes the story quite engaging despite the shortness.

There are only a couple of scenes in the story, a short one between Sean and Brandon at the start, and the three-way in the hotel near the end. Neither scene is very kinky, but the first one is enough to show us the kind of relationship they have and the degree of trust Brandon has in his Dom Sean.

As her guests arrive for dinner, Janet is both fearful and aroused—because this is no ordinary suburban dinner party. Recently divorced and looking for something new, Janet definitely finds it when her friend Jon invites her to join an exclusive club of kinksters whose initiation is to be the host—and the entertainment.

Before the food is even served, she’s naked and on her knees, not to mention in over her head with her far more experienced guests. An avid reader of BDSM erotica, Janet learns that reality doesn’t always jibe with the fantasy as she rapidly loses control of the situation.

So begins Janet’s odyssey into a kinky suburban underground she never dreamed existed: caterers who were once dominatrices; real estate agents and lawyers by day who make twisted, sexy art by night; a stunning but sadistic insurance analyst who owns an entire stable of slaves of her own.

Well-trained submissives are in short supply out here in the ‘burbs, and Janet, blue-eyed and eager, has just the potential these people are looking for.

Kinky and sexy, intelligent and perceptive, Blue is both highly entertaining social satire and red hot erotica.

WARNING: Contains explicit material and adult situations.

Review:

LN Bey’s debut novel tells the tale of Janet, a bored and frustrated divorcee looking for a new direction in life, and Ken, a lifestyle sub who begins to realise than even his seemingly complete devotion to his Mistress has its limits. It’s a substantial work that may venture into some uncomfortable places, but is almost always exciting and consistently impressive.

The discomfort comes from the fact that any kinkster, on either side of the power play, will see reflected in some characters something they might not like about themselves. Janet struggles to differentiate being submissive and being a weak pushover, while in the opening scene her tormentors show alarmingly misanthropic and sociopathic tendencies, or in Janet’s words: “You guys are a bunch of cruel motherfuckers.”

But some of that cruelty can be so compelling. There are so many scenarios that hit the spot, sometimes from multiple angles; all depicted adroitly, realistically and sensitively in terms of content and narrative. For example the list of rules that male sub Ken has to live by will provide an informative introduction to the lifestyle for those curious about BDSM, and some serious carnal thrills from anyone who has ever, in fantasy or reality, set such rules or been bound by them.

It’s also one of a number of narrative experiments, but not all of them pay off: a section which involves Ken compiling mental lists of possible permutations slows the momentum somewhat. However, this is more than compensated for by a chapter comprised entirely of voicemail messages, which provides possibly the most ingeniously delivered and stunningly effective transitions I’ve ever read in any genre.

It’s a complete game changer and really brings the novel together, raising the bar for the story to make it an endearing character journey and a compelling study of the lifestyle. And rest assured dear reader, this is a seriously sexy read from cover to cover, with the author creating an intoxicatingly inventive series of situations and driving them deep into your imagination through sweet seduction and irresistible force.

This in an accomplished and unflinching first novel, showing great understanding of both the psychology and practicality of dominance and submission, and willing to show it in all its crazy, beautiful and confusing glory.

Review:

Arousing, enticing and sensual, six kinky authors invite a reader to experience the joys of spankings. These are not just any spankings, these are over the knee spankings (OTK). There is something more intimate about laying across a lap whilst being spanked with an implement or a bare hand. Each of these authors capture the pleasure and pain of these private experiences.

Ms. Barker kicks it off with an erotically explosive reunion between an estranged couple. The setup of this story is nicely done. The conflict is all too real and deftly resolved through some much needed domestic discipline. The characters are easy to relate with and the discipline scenes are panty wetting goodness. For uniform lovers, this one may tickle your fancy.

Naughty Ms. Harlem completely spices her story up with figging, possible exposure and deferred gratification. The sensual tension in this story is what makes it memorable. Ms. Harlem is known for her sexy scenes heating up the pages of a book. She delivers in this one. This husband and wife duo provide a hot example of how to keep the desire just below boiling point for hours. The scenes in here are realistic and may spark a few couples to try it out the next time they hold a dinner party.

New to me author Ms. Swann mixes business with pleasure in a safe and sane manner. Her characters are coworkers who find cross paths at a BDSM club. This scenario is actually more common than people think. The way the chance meeting plays out and ends with a delightfully red bottom and a fantastic editorial is glorious. If only more work relationships could be so smooth and sexy.

Ms. Zwaduk continues this erotic-fest with another work couple. This time, it is boss and subordinate. This power play is sexy, especially since it involves a mask and exclusive club. This story is more sweetly romantic and plays into many a submissive’s fantasy. The BDSM scenes are a thrill for voyeurs.

Ms. Felthouse takes the reader back to a happily married couple who is not so happy. There are times when a husband cannot be a spanker due to various reasons. This one, due to health reasons causes a cease fire on spankings. This makes both husband and wife quite grumpy. This story is interesting because it shows what can happen when things are not ideal. Adjusting to lack of spankings can be hard in a kinky marriage and sometimes, the submissive may become a bit too bratty.

New to me author Ms. Watt finishes off the book in a smoking hawt librarian theme. This one is delicious with the teasing and coaxing of a shy librarian by a “lord of the manor”. The setup is cleverly done and may cause creaming in a reader’s knickers. The seduction of the librarian is masterfully done and features in many kinky reader’s fantasies.

These six stories are all well-crafted with vivid descriptions. Each writer shows a unique writing voice which provocative spanking scenes. The BDSM may be light for some. They are all realistic and show a range from playful to strict. This spanking collection is recommended to kinky readers who love a nice red bottom.

Captain Gideon is a candidate at the Drago Star Academy and well on his way to fulfilling his lifelong dream—to be a Star commander and fight the alien insurgency on Earth. However, before he can complete his training, he is captured by an unknown entity who sells him to a sadistic alien master. He strives to follow his military training, but nothing can prepare him for the abuse he endures at the hands of his deviant captors.

Despite his disorientation, Gideon realizes things are not as they seem. Though his captors appear to be slavers, they have the resources of a government or rebel entity. To complicate matters, the air smells different, the people look strange, and the light of the sun is all wrong. Gideon’s only hope is escape, but if they’ve taken him from his home planet, is escape even possible?

Review:

Well, Gideon is quite the conflicted character, especially when he finds he actually likes being raped by his new, gorgeous Master (who, by the way, is part dragon). But we have to cut Gideon some slack, because he receives frequent injections of a drug called Persuasion, and once a male is injected, he’s desperate and begging for the satisfaction and healing only another male can provide. But his master’s “affections” carry great risk. He’s part dragon, after all, and let’s just say his body parts are rather… massive. Ouchie! Believe me, his Master’s “affections” can both harm and heal, but no spoilers here….

Part of Gideon’s sex-slave training involves learning to submit to public humiliation, corporal punishment, and frequent (and quite yummy) gang bangs by hunky males on a construction crew. He soon learns that full submission may not only save his life, but may be his only hope for escape.

This is a hot, hot, hot story. If you’re at all turned on by Male-on-male, this short, sizzling read is for you. Hardly a page is turned without Gideon having to submit in one way or another, enduring constant use and abuse to fully train him as a sex slave. He needs to escape, but the Persuasion drug makes him need constant sexual satisfaction. What a conundrum, yes? But, as with many good tales, nothing is at it seems.

A fast, fun, HOT read.

He is a slave and Bolton is a free man in this world it would be certain death if they are found out but that does not stop Lucas from craving Bolton and his love. When Lucas is sold to another master Bolton must go in search of the man he loves. Will it be too late for them when Bolton finally finds Lucas and sets him free? Can their love heal the wounds that Lucas has? Will Lucas be able to forgive Bolton ans find a way to a happy ever after? So many questions to be answered.

This is a nice introduction to this new shifter world. Emotions are strong and love is on the line in this book. Evil has taken hold and the good shifters must fight to save the innocents. I enjoyed seeing Lucas grow and change in this story. He quickly learns and matures. He has a good heart and loves Bolton. No matter what he is determined to find a way back to love. Bolton is more than just an Alpha and he must make a hard choice between his mate and his kind. The two men are strong and support each other nicely, making a good couple.

The author weaves a wonderful story full of danger and action alongside the romance. With great world building and character development this is a book that should not be missed.

Review:

Standing from the outside looking in is always tough.  When one is competent, loyal and wants to give so much, it is hard to understand why one is unwanted.  Ryan Bennett is the kind of cop who exemplifies ethics and rigidity.  He follows the rules and he does his best to serve.  He is hard working and not afraid of taking more classes to give him an extra edge.  Whilst he excels in his technical or “specialized” skills, his communication skills need a little bit of work.  He is not exactly a team player and he does not understand why he is constantly rejected.

New to me author, Ms. Tomlinson does a great job of showing Ryan’s point of view.  From a character building perspective, this book rocks.  I felt so badly for Ryan.  He keeps trying.  He is amazing but he doesn’t understand the human aspect.  I can relate and wanted to see Ryan finally find acceptance.  He strives to be in SWAT not understanding he needs to be accepted and trusted as a team member.  He may have the skills, but in the heat of the job, people revert to trust.  The team is divided about Ryan.  His conservative opinions of rules and regulations do not help.  What also doesn’t help is that he wants one of the SWAT team’s leaders, Sergeant Logan Pierce.  This unrequited desire to be submissive to the dominant in Logan only makes it more awkward.  For me, it seems as if Ryan is always getting kicked when he tries to reach out for a connection.  This makes him close down more and causes more miscommunications.  When another dominant takes interest in Ryan, this is when it becomes interesting.

Detective Sam Roberts is not looking for long term but he is interested in the closed off submissive, Ryan.  When the two play together, it is clear this is no simple hook up.  Neither knows how to proceed without fumbling.  This initial start of a D/s relationship with the submissive only interested in bottoming is realistic and amusing.  The false starts and frustrations are easily relatable.  When the two open up to each other and foster trust, this is when my heart breaks.  Ryan shares his desire and it is clear, he feels he is always rejected as not good enough.  For someone who is so competent and giving, it is hard to understand why he is always left in the cold.  Others may not like Ryan and believe he has a stick up his butt.  I see him as the prized German Shepard that never had a stable owner and is abused through neglect.  This is not to say that love of a good man is what makes Ryan whole.  It is to say those who need to be accepted for who they are, when no one wants them, it leaves them feeling broken and damaged.  This is a heinous crime in my book because it isn’t visible pain, only internal which sometimes is worse.  Ryan is a complex character who is not easily liked and often misunderstood.

The BDSM between Sam and Ryan is good.  It is mild play, mostly because Sam is trying to coax Ryan to trust him.  The sex is erotic and enjoyable to read.  The BDSM element in this book could actually be left out and still make an excellent story.  This is because the plot and character building is what attracts the reader.  The kink is a nice little spice to kick up the heat.  This is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone.  This m/m erotic suspense is recommended to kinky readers who have a soft spot for characters with sticks up their butt.

“S & M is scary stuff — and scary means exciting, as TV celebrity Tunis Vale learns when she meets media mogul Cade Fitzlean, who is hosting a themed house party at his secluded mansion to launch the hot, new BDSM movie Hit ‘n Miss Trix. To her horror, Tunis is booked for sessions with a celebrity Dom called The Panther. His career bombed a year before when she threw up at his feet on live television. Cade — who happens to be a former Dom — offers to take her sessions instead. His regime is harsh, and, in return, he wants her full submission for the following week. With her career at stake and her heart on the line, she must choose — submit to Cade or face The Panther’s revenge.”

Review:

Did you catch all of that? There you have it.

However, it wasn’t really clear why Cade would be scared to train Tuna —I mean, Tunis — especially since he’s an experienced Dom. And why was Tunis’ heart on the line if she had never even met Cade before? It’s understandable why SHE would be afraid, however, to train under HIM, as she’s a newbie to BDSM. In fact, that’s why she threw up during an on-location shoot at the nightclub where The Panther was leading a scene. The intensity of what she witnessed caused her to toss her cookies at the feet of The Panther, and it was caught on film. But it didn’t make sense that he would want revenge for this, or that his career would bomb because of it. On the contrary… the free publicity would have been priceless, and surely the clip would have gone viral. One would think he should be thanking Tunis profusely, not wanting to make her suffer.

Be that as it may, Tunis feared The Panther’s revenge, so Cade — the owner of the mansion and producer of the film Tunis is there to promote — agrees to train her in BDSM for a week instead of leaving for a business trip. (The guy is such a giver!) The scenes between the two are frequent and highly detailed — just what you want in a BDSM novel, yes? Yes. But this was a bit of a two-edged sword, as there were SO MANY sex scenes that they became a bit repetitive. There was no sexual tension or reader-arousing build-up in which you just can’t wait for the two to be in the same room together. Then again, Cade is obviously quite a testosterone-filled male.

Okay, fine. Who isn’t jealous? But get this: More than once, Tunis referred to Cade’s erection as being purple. “Get thee to an emergency room, my Dom!”

But wait! Just as Tunis and Cade are finding their groove, Cade participates in an act of total betrayal! Or does he????! Will Tunis run from him (and his purple penis?) Will she forgive him? Will she do both?  Fortunately for the reader, you can never quite predict what she’s going to do, and there are some interesting sub-plots to keep the pace moving along nicely.

“The one man Elise Dumond has always craved is the one man she should not have in her bed—or in her heart.”

Well, she does.

Elise Dumond—a Countess— has long been married to a now-dying man who was never able to impregnate her. From his deathbed, he contracts with a famous knight—Simon de la Poer— to bed her and produce an heir. All Elise has to do is quickly become pregnant by Simon before her husband dies, and she might even help save England.

No pressure, right?

Elise knew and loved Simon in her youth, but her father prevented anything from coming of the relationship, and required her to marry a much older man. Simon just happens to be entirely hunky-looking, as well as an adventurous and skilled lover. What could be better than having your own husband approve of romps with such a man between the royal sheets? But, as with most people of high social status at the time, there were dark forces surrounding the lovers, people whose plots, lies and political schemes threatened to tear the couple apart, and prevent the conception of an heir.

Still no pressure, right?

You’ll have to read the book to find out if Simon and Elise finally got the deed done — no mean feat with people always knocking on their bedroom door. Did they not have some semblance of a Do Not Disturb sign back then? But this was the year 1207, and politics apparently waited for no man. Given the time period in which the story was set, readers must ready themselves for such sexual references as dew-soaked nubs; gushing love liquid; cunnies and chats, flowing molten cores; and rosy, hard buttons of love. Yet, the sex is frequent, highly detailed, and worth the read.

Nice job, Ms. DeLand.
