Review:

Andy goes back to Club Splendor, trying to regain some feeling by watching like her late husband and she used to do. Andy has shut herself off after her husband and son died, and Hunter and her in-laws are worried. What Andy doesn’t realize is that Hunter has been in love with her even before she married his best friend.

The author did a good job conveying Andy’s feelings and guilt about the death of her family.  Hunter’s feelings came through as well, and I liked the way the author used them to shock Andy into taking a hard look at what she had been doing and how it was affecting those around her.  Andy’s in-laws were great and show a relationship that most families don’t have.

While Sweetest Salvation was a very good romantic story that also shows how some people deal with grief, I would not really put this into a kink or BDSM category, though there were two very tame scenes at the club. I was very surprised about Hunter and how he dealt with Andy, especially since he was one of the owners of Club Splendor.

Review:

For anyone with a background in psychology, the premise of this novella feels like fingernails scraping on a blackboard- no therapist should become involved with a client. However, once past that feeling, this was a good read, with a caring Dom, a woman discovering her submissive nature, and a hot connection between the two of them.

The story is told in first person, which isn’t usually my favorite voice, but in this case it works well. Julia is a therapist (kind unknown) who has been working with Daniel, a Dom who has had a “small performance issue.”  He is ready to be cut free when he asks to meet her in person. He explains he recognizes her submissive nature and wants to train her as her Dom. In spite of her misgivings over crossing the professional/patient line, she agrees. The remainder of the story involves him introducing her to the BDSM lifestyle.

The story contains flogging, anal play, and very mild bondage. The sex is hot, the Dom is yummy and careful and this was an enjoyable read.

Review:

Ready for some smoking hawt erotica?  Best Women’s Erotica 2013 is the book to read. This sampling of eighteen steaming short stories will cause some pussy wetting and cock dripping.  My two favorites in this collection are The Spanking Salon by Elizabeth Coldwell and Being his Bitch by Janine Ashbless.  In The Spanking Salon, the reader is treated to a deliciously fun story of mistaken identities which leads to spankings. What’s not to love about being spanked for being naughty?  In Being his Bitch, it’s a delightful puppy play piece including a hawt public breeding scene.

Ms. Blue is known for her sexual prowess. She’s also a safe bet when it comes to providing erotic literature to read and enjoy a bit of “me time”. This selection of erotica writers provide all sorts of fetishes and kinks for a novice erotic reader to taste and explore. Each of the stories are smoothly written with medium to high heat factor. There is nothing tame in this book. Just as there is nothing too taboo either. It’s a buffet filled with different combination of sexual partners and desires. There is something written for everyone. For those who are hedonist, pretty much every single story will appeal.

What is truly impressive about this collection is the writing for each piece. Each story contains a beginning, middle and conclusion. They are tightly woven with defined characters, a simple plot and great sex. It’s lean yet decadently rich in flavor. This erotic collection is recommended to kinky readers looking for a good hawt time.

Review:

This was an emotional novella with charismatic and believable characters, an intricate plot, and some hot sex.

Because her childhood involved being shuffled from foster home to foster home, Cassie has built up walls around her heart that keeps people at bay. That is, until she has an encounter with her best friend, Kyla and her boyfriend, Jordon. Kyla is from a dysfunctional family herself and never wants to get married, but unlike Cassie, she is willing to make a commitment. Jordon’s family is much less dysfunctional, but his parents don’t like Kyla and keep hoping he will break up with her and are not above making digs at her at family events. Jordon loves Kyla and comes to love Cassie, but he doesn’t want to hurt his family by telling them to back off.

Can this trio find happiness or will the forces of the outside world tear them apart?

The only kink in this one is the relationship of having one man with two women. There is F/F action as well as F/M/F action, but do not expect any BDSM in this one.

Review:

This short story is hot and combines a sexy vampire with an exciting bout of BDSM.  My only complaint is that it was too short-it would be nice to see this one more fully developed.

Nurse Jade McKenna is accustomed to seeing the world as a dark place due to the fact she is alone in the world and works in ICU, where she periodically loses a patient. It was after losing a patient that she met Isaac Cairns on the rooftop of the hospital. Her tears touched him and he offered her a shoulder to cry on.

The next time she met him, in ICU, he helped a critical ill patient recover. Afterwards he took her home and divulged his secret. When he began seducing her, she felt as though he was weaving a spell around her. Their sexy encounter is really hot and includes bondage and paddling. The story leaves the door open for more of the story-and I would really like to read more.

Review:

Each story in this anthology is like nothing like the next, except each one was a bit dark. I personally like the abduction story and the sex machine story the most but they all had a level of enjoyment for anyone that likes their kinkiness a little twisted.

Not to spoil the stories too much, there are themes of D/s, forced sex, aliens, machines, and more. The characters are well written and you can certainly read each story, at length, and still enjoy it as if reading a novella. Great read!

Review:

Addicted to the Bite continues where Drain Me Dry left off.  Jamie-boy gives up on death after meeting gorgeous master vampire Damian, but finds that real life is still difficult, and with few rewards. Now all he has to live for is the other man’s touch, and the hope of once again finding himself in the vampire’s embrace.

Damian’s having to deal with a killer using his club as a feeding ground, and he doesn’t want Jamie-boy put in any danger. He rebuffs the young man, and realizes he cares more than he thought he did. Worse, it may be too late to keep Jamie out of the middle of it.

I liked the first one very much, and I liked this one almost as well. We get a little more world building, and we get a look at werewolves, too, or at least one: the detective investigating the killings. These are short stories, really, so there’s not much room for exposition, and Wilder rightly doesn’t linger where it isn’t necessary, or repeat herself.

Damian’s world-weary practicality and self-awareness are a nice counterpoint to the very well-evoked melodrama and stupidity of the very young. Jamie is charming precisely because he’s so clueless and so utterly raw and helpless, and Damian’s attraction to that vulnerability rings true. Jamie does stupid things, but they are completely in character, and he does pay for them.

Review:

This was a pleasant surprise of a book.

It’s a romantic and somewhat dark tale set in near-future post-plague Atlanta where the government has decreed that only humans with superior genetics shall be allowed to reproduce. There are differing grades of “quality”, and the lowest of these, “Ambers”, are exiled outside the better part of the city and allowed to have only one child. The Ambers have formed their own culture, its customs created out of the need to support one another.  Touching is as common as breathing, sex is freely enjoyed, and cuddle-piles are a way of life. In the midst of their dystopian exile, they’ve made an interpersonal web of beautiful connections. One of the tools they use sometimes is the mingling of pleasure and pain.

Jaci is genetically evaluated and found to have one of the automatic disqualifier genes – one that would potentially lead to a lethal disability for her children. Born a Sapphire, one of the higher grades of human, she’s summarily sterilized and sent to live in the Amber zone as a non-reproducing “fallow.” Culture shock ensues. She’s assigned a roomate, hunky cop Xander, and both of them find their lives complicated when they start to fall for one another. Making things worse, there’s a serial killer murdering fallows, and Xander is the one on the case.

Xander tries to alleviate Jaci’s sorrow with sympathy, cuddling, and pleasure, while also not burdening her with his feelings for her during a difficult time. Jaci struggles to understand Xander’s behavior, and what her place is in the relationship as well as the culture.

Review:

The historical background of this story is what made it interesting. Collapse of the world….societies reverting back to a time similar to an era long since passed. Where men protected their women….where they were treated much the same as children in some respects. There was not a whole lot of sting factor in this book, unless you count the amount of spankings that Shana received. Spankings for being bad and spankings to relieve guilt. But that is all they were, just spankings. Shana grew up with Daman as her uncle (10 years older than herself) and deserved of her respect but she’d not been acquainted with any other man outside of him. To go from a submissive niece to a submissive wife…not sure I really like that. Even Daman’s attitude at times gave me pause, as I’ve not seen/heard Dom’s speak that way or treat a sub that way. Then again, they did kinda have this whole Daddy/babygirl thing going on. As with most kink, to each their own and that goes for this book too. It is not really my cup of tea, but another might enjoy a sip here and there! I did enjoy the fact that Shana became secure in her position, once she was secure with Daman’s feeling for her. All in all, not too bad of a read.
