I’m a voracious bibliophile who enjoys getting lost in worlds created by others. One day I could be a mermaid; the next a vampire hunter. Books transport me away from the daily grind. The best authors make me want to stay in the world they create, never leaving to face the cold harsh realities of bills, taxes and work. I tend to enjoy the authors who generate the strong emotions from me. The more engaged I am with the characters, the better I enjoy the book, even if the feeling is of sorrow and anger. I read books like I live life, with intensity.
My favorite genre is BDSM. I will read from SugarKink to Hardcore. I revel in all types of fetishes and sexual combinations. I’m kinky in real life so I do like my BDSM stories more realistic.
I was active in the BDSM scene during its formative years, but career moves interfered with my active participation and eventually I began indulging that part of my life primarily by writing erotica. Recently, I have had two femdom-themed erotic novellas, Uncharted Territory and The Accidental Domme, and an anthology of femdom stories, Ten Shades of Submission, published by Sizzler Editions.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I left high school in my senior year to live the bohemian life in New York City’s Greenwich Village and Lower East Side. Not being a big fan of cold weather and crowded tenements, I returned to the West Coast within six months and lived in Berkeley. While there, my claims to fame include being folksinger Malvina Reynolds’ neighbor/tenant and part owner of the Northside Theater, a repertory cinema of considerable renown.
After leaving Berkeley, I put myself through college and earned a B.A. in Journalism from USC. My eclectic career since then has encompassed editing, writing, business management, social work, teaching, and web publishing, with stops in northern and southern California, Hawaii, Florida and Oregon.
In addition to writing naughty books, I review them. Besides this site, my reviews can be found on my blog wordwooze.tumblr.com and blogcritics.org, femdomforum.com, goodreads.com, booklikes.com, tribe.net, shackledlovestories.com, and amazon.com.
Currently I am collaborating on a new femdom book with Dimitra Ekmektsis.

I’m Daria and I’m from California. When I’m not working you can usually find me hanging out with my fiancée, who is my Dom as well. I’ve been in the lifestyle since 2006, but still consider myself new at it and love learning new things. I love to read and started reading street signs as a little girl, and think reading is vital. I lean more toward BDSM/Erotic/paranormal themed books. When I think of reading I think of the Nike commercial “just do it”.

I am a Linguistic Painter, my ideas are my paint & my words are the brush. My emotions determine if the picture will be filled with happiness or despair, but my paintings are ALWAYS a thing of beauty.
I started graduate school in the department of Literacy,Culture & Language Education at Indiana University,in 2010. During this time, my area of concentration dealt with evaluating reading material. I also pursued an MFA in Creative Writing, at Full Sail University, starting in 2012.
I grew up in a very eclectic and open community, in a Midwestern college town. I was fortunate enough to be able to associate with people from all over the world. I think this influenced my love of languages. I speak several: ASL (American Sign Language), Spanish, SiSwati, and Japanese. I had the opportunity to study the Japanese language & culture in Shizuoka-Shi, Japan.
I became involved in the Lifestyle, about two and a half years ago. I am currently in a DD/bg form of D/s relationship. I also run several groups on http:/www.bdsmcafe.net .
I review BDSM, Erotica & Erotic Romance for several sites, and have been a beta reader for a number of BDSM related books. I am currently working on my Memoir, a BDSM themed New Adult Romance, and a YA Series that takes place in Japan.
Jennifer Leeland has been writing in the BDSM genre since 2007 and has been in a D/s relationship since 2000. Though her experiences in the Lifestyle has been limited due to the very private nature of her husband, she has kinky friends online (with her husband’s approval) and loves to read and write Erotic BDSM romance. She’ll read anything-non-fiction, science fiction, contemporary, paranormal-it doesn’t matter what setting. The only thing she wants is a happy ending and good characters.
