Hi,

It’s wonderful to join you here on BDSM Book Reviews. Unlike your typical erotic authors, my books are non-fiction in nature. When I wrote BDSM THE NAKED TRUTH, I was concerned with being able to provide an unbiased insight into the world of Dominance and submission that would help dispel the plethora of misconceptions perpetuated by Hollywood and the media and shed some light into this highly erotic form of emotional connection.  I also strived to help authors created realistic characters and scenarios which depicted the respect and love individuals shared in the BDSM community through my book BDSM FOR WRITERS..

Though many individuals believe that BDSM is all about whips and chains and sexual thrills, the truth is the majority of D/s relationships do not include sex and are merely service oriented. 

The popularity of 50 Shades of Grey opened the door for many to explore the power exchange and become more adventures and even demand more from them sex lives. Unfortunately, the author actually perpetuated many of the misconceptions the D/s community has been fighting against for years. As a Sex Educator and BDSM Expert, I hope my books and workshops can provide accurate information that will help demystify the power exchange to allow individuals to embrace all aspects of their sensual and adventurous nature.

With Dr. Charley Ferrer as your guide and her new book BDSM The Naked Truth as your road map, even the most timid traveler on the path of love is emboldened to venture into this new and different sexual paradise. There is no need to stand “starry eyed” at the gate wondering what lies within. The sexual adventurer need only open their mind to information and their spirit to excitement and he or she “need be a stranger no more.”” Dr. Ferrer’s Dedication to her book is an awesome statement in and of itself.

Dr. Charley Ferrer did an amazing job with this book. Speaking in simple enough terms that the public at large can understand, I think that anyone new to the BDSM lifestyle would find it informative and insightful. From the curious to the newbie sub, the detail that is given to explaining the different roles and the variability of personalities allows the reader to find their place.

One of the most important parts of this book would have to be the glossary. Dr. Ferrer’s dedication to providing a thorough yet simple explanation to the different roles and persona’s that encompass the BDSM lifestyle shines through in her diligence. Educating the reader is such an important role that Dr. Ferrer did not take lightly. Being a Domme with a male sub of her own, she is able to tap into both sides of her knowledge. After reading and understanding what has been placed before the reader, the good doctor compiled some sample contracts to be as guides for developing your own.
