*Welcome to our interview with the talented Lula Lisbon. Lula has been gracious enough to give away three copies of her ebook Begging For a Spanking to three lucky commenters. And after reading her interview Lula is now officially on my “Authors I want to meet list!” Lucretia*
Hi, I’m Lula Lisbon, an emerging erotica author specializing primarily in LGBTQ kink and BDSM. Thank you so much for taking this time with me!
When you first started writing, did you have any idea you’d be writing BDSM/kinky books? Do you write in any other genre?
I’ve been writing for a very long time, ever since I was a preteen. Fantasy was always my favorite form of escapism, and I definitely went through a phase where I was obsessed with H.P. Lovecraft. I’ve written a bit of everything over my life: lyrics, horror, fantasy, romance, erotica, editorials, band and music reviews, plays, graphic novels, and comedy – to name a few! My favorite form of erotica, however, was always short stories, particularly lesbian and femdom BDSM.
Who is your favorite BDSM/kinky author?
The first thing that comes to mind is Anne Rice writing as A. N. Roquelaure. Her Sleeping Beauty Trilogy was my first introduction to BDSM erotica; I was shocked and thoroughly aroused the first time I read it. To be honest, I still can’t read more than ten pages without needing to, um, stop. Other than that, I really love anything with extreme lesbian BDSM and humiliation.
Was there something that happened to you in your life or career that made you want to begin thinking about writing BDSM/kinky-themed erotica?
