1. When you first started writing, did you have any idea you’d be writing BDSM/kinky books? Do you write in any other genre?
I had no idea I would ever write anything even remotely related to BDSM or kinky books. Ten years ago I read Nora Roberts books which I think we can all agree is light years away from the BDSM genre. If you would have told me I would even be interested in reading about it, let alone writing it I would have laughed at you and told you, you don’t know me at all.

2. Do you use a pen name? If yes (or no), why?
I write all my books under Nicole Morgan.

3. Are you actively involved in BDSM? If so how do you identify yourself? Dom(me)/sub? Top/bottom? Switch?
I am not actively involved in a BDSM relationship of any kind. Reading some BDSM books from some very talented authors I’d have to say if I ever were, I would definitely categorize myself as a submissive type.

4. At what point did you decide you wanted to write BDSM/kinky-themed erotica?
I actually didn’t decide it. When I write I let the stories tell themselves, literally. At the time, a number of years ago I had just finished reading a book by Sasha White, Wicked in which the world of BDSM is a big part to the story. I was surprised while reading it that I was intrigued and not shocked by some of the subject matter, as ten years ago I think I might have been. So, here I was writing one of my books, Intimate Persuasions and all of a sudden half way through the book the main character’s brother starts to have a story evolve which delves into that world. I only touched on it briefly, it was almost like dangling a morsel of treat in front of the readers. Then as I closed off the book and wrote the last chapter I decided to add an Epilogue and start to tell the intro to the brother’s story. I’ve since finished that book, Intimate Confessions and it was just recently released March 1st. I’m very excited to see how my first dabble into writing the BDSM genre will be received by the readers.
