Is there one area of BDSM that you tend to write about more? Why do you think that area creeps into your writing more than some others?
I suppose that would be a kind of comical entrapment or humiliation fetish, the idea of getting “stuck” in some way, or perhaps bound in a comical or unexpected manner. I’m pretty far from the classical chains and dungeons type of BDSM. Sometimes I’ll portray some kind of accidental BDSM and/or my characters might well be deliberately bound by someone. Actually, the bondage is usually deliberate, but there can be an element of accident in it. Often they get stuck headfirst in something, or trapped in a suit of armour or an inflating rubber suit, etc. I think it was probably cartoons I saw as a child that started me on the way to being a pervert.
Is there an area that is BDSM/kink-related that you haven’t written about yet that you’re interested in?
I have been branching out a lot into what is often called “futa” fiction, but I have problems with that word. I’d rather say “transgendered,” but that word is too non-specific for what I mean. What I’m doing now is a more specific type of “transgendered”: namely, women with cocks. I like to use the word “phallogyne” here. I don’t explain these characters as Pre-op or in transition or anything like that. They simply are phallogynes. Actually, I suppose this doesn’t quite answer your question because I have written about phallogynes (Rubber Cat Burglar, for example, and “Cream and Punishment”).
Do you write BDSM/kink erotica based on what you find interesting or sexy, or do you write more for your audience?
I write on the basis of what I find sexy. Some of my kinks are very rare (like getting stuck, for example) but fortunately, I mix them liberally with more common kinks of mine like bondage, rubber, or leather, for example. This makes my work marketable and fun to write. I could probably write erotica that didn’t personally interest me, but it would be less fun to do.
What have you written in the past that you think your BDSM/kink fans might find interesting?
My latest release is Roxy Katt’s Naughty Tales of Leather and Latex: Laugh out Loud Lesbian Humor which includes Rubber Space Academy, “The Space MILF,” and “The Problem of Leather.” Readers who think they might like the phallogyne fiction could check out Rubber Cat Burglar and “Cream and Punishment.”
What is your favorite fetish? Why?
This is hard to answer in any certain way, but I suppose the element common to my interests is humiliation. One moment I’m into leather, the next it’s rubber. One day it’s about women, the next it’s about phallogynes. But my imaginative scenarios pretty much always involve humiliation. And that humiliation is usually comical in some way.
What might be something of interest to your fans that you don’t think they know about you?
I am a Christian and a raving Leftie. Some of the people whose lives, thoughts, and works inspire me are Noam Chomsky, George Orwell, Rosa Luxemburg, for example.
At this point in your career, do you think you’ll write more BDSM/kinky erotica?
Oh yes. I am not the fastest writer in the world, and I tend to feel overwhelmed by the bureaucracy of it all (uploading books to Amazon, making or buying covers, etc.). Nor am I the most prolific writer, especially for someone who writes erotica. But there are always more stories there. I went on a bit of an imaginative binge involving jodhpurs and chauffeuses lately, then was interrupted by some other work I had to do, and left several stories unfinished I want to get back to.
Who is your favorite BDSM/kinky author? Movie?
I suppose in that respect I have not so much authors or movies as certain icons. Catwoman and Batgirl in general, but especially the versions from that uber kinky 1960s Batman TV show. Emma Peel also. This sort of thing makes its way into my work a lot. However, I don’t really sit down and view episodes of this very often, which I guess is a bit odd.
