Review:

This was a light and lively little read with a number of surprising twists in a very short story.

Gabe is a typical nerd, socially awkward and sexually naive, and feels doomed to be “friends” with Ashley, the hot woman who lives in the same building. He yearns for more, but doesn’t know how to go about making the first move, when Ashley asks him to pick up her sister at the airport since she’s tied up at work.

Shortly after picking up Jenna at the airport, Gabe is the one who finds himself tied up-and blindfolded and under a Domme’s authority. Telling any of the rest of the story would spoil the surprise.

For such a short story, this includes a lot of territory: bondage, golden showers, oral and anal sex and twin mischief. It was well written, and for someone who enjoys Femdom, an enjoyable short story.

 Review:

Womanizing bad boy turns submissive: talented but arrogant screenwriter Mackenzie is used to getting his own way and any woman he wants – except his agent’s beautiful assistant Rebecca. The redhead continues to resist his advances until he follows her home one night and the power dynamics between them start to shift.

Mackenzie, one of Hollywood’s most sought-after screenwriters, has a passion for alcohol and women, and is used to getting his own way. The only woman who seems to see right through his manipulative antics is strong-willed Rebecca, which only makes him want her more. One night he follows her home drunk and she finally sees something in him and allows him to spend the night. Much to his surprise, Rebecca reveals herself as a dominant mistress who allows him to enter into a relationship with her, but on her terms. Mackenzie becomes Rebecca’s slave and is humiliated, whipped and introduced to her strap-on. He takes to Rebecca’s lifestyle with surprising ease and finds himself willingly submit to her every desire, including a chastity device he wears at all times.

I enjoyed reading this short book and found Mackenzie’s transformation from predator to prey fascinating. There wasn’t as much focus on the character’s emotional state as I would have liked, but this is forgivable as the story has only 13,000 words. Personally, I didn’t like the emphasis on the chastity device, which seemed to be a recurring theme, and I thought the entire book could have been a bit kinkier. Having said that, the power shift between the two main characters was very interesting to read, and I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in D/s, especially those new to BDSM.

In a desolate, apocalyptic future, the dead walk amongst the living with a vicious hunger for flesh, and twin sisters Dana and Betsy are tired of running, tired of living in terror. When they hear a mysterious radio broadcast promising sanctuary, they dare to hope that they might have finally found a safe-haven. Instead, they discover a twisted, kinky nightmare that will push them to their limits and test their very will to survive.

Review:

Bit is the type of short story that takes you on one hell of a roller coaster ride. It starts out like a typical apocalyptic story where you might start to ask yourself if you have already read it. Then, it drops you down that first hill which lets you know if you’ve ever been on this ride before you’d damn well remember it. Spoiler alert– don’t read further if you like big surprises. This book kills off a main character, zombified another, and mixes up zombies and BDSM in one crazy ass kind of way, but it works. And, it’s a little surprising just how well it works.

Bit is the first zombie themed BDSM book I’ve read. I like to think of myself as a fan of zombies since I’ve seen almost every movie out there and watch Walking Dead every week when it’s on. The beginning has a scene with a an older couple with an RV that screamed Walking Dead to me, but I still liked it. When the zombies and BDSM came into play, goodness gracious. I don’t even want to tell you key elements because it will ruin it. But if you like zombies and you like BDSM you should check this out. Just keep your arms inside the ride until it comes to a complete stop.
