When you first started writing, did you have any idea you’d be writing BDSM/kinky books? Do you write in any other genre?

I love reading BDSM books but my first story, The Invitation, was more of a sweet erotic romance. There wasn’t any kink or BDSM. I enjoyed writing it, I was happy with how it turned out, but I didn’t adore it. Something was missing. That something was kink. My second book was a BDSM erotic novella and that was when I knew — I’m happiest when writing kinky books. I do write in other genres. I’ve written historical and paranormal. I’ve just received a contract from Ellora’s Cave for a futuristic novel. All my books do contain kink or BDSM no matter what genre.

Are you actively involved in BDSM? If so how do you identify yourself? Dom(me)/sub? Top/bottom? Switch?

I spent many years trying to deny the fact I was kinky. Finally, about four years ago I admitted that I need BDSM. So yes, I am actively involved. After reading and exploring many different ‘labels’ I settled on sub. I’m a submissive. It makes me smile because people see me as more of a Dominant than a submissive!

Is there one area of BDSM that you tend to write about more? Why do you think that area creeps into your writing more than some others?

Ruth Hamilton is in deep trouble. When the opportunity arises to get Dom right where she wants him, will Ruth be brave enough to go for it or will Dom have to force her hand?

Dominic Sullivan needs Ruth something fierce, and he is going to have her no matter the cost. The innocence that comes off of Ruth just makes Dom hard in all the right places. She acts like she wants him and yet anytime he tries to get close she shuts down. Dom is determined to get Ruth in his bed, or any room in his house for that matter. Making her see that he knows all the moves to make her scream is a challenge that Dominic is up for, so Ruth better watch out because she won’t know what hit her.

What a great story! This is a first for me from Scarlett Sanderson and all I can say is HOT. The sex in this story was amazing, almost had me going for my vibrator at some points. Dominic was so manly and sexual that is was amazing to this that Ruth didn’t just melt into a puddle at his feet. I am sure I would have. If you want a HOT story with great sex while still being realistic, than this is a story to add to your TBB/TBR pile.

Review:

There are things I love about Beg Me and things I thought could have been a little better. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a shorter story that includes a little kink and a lot about exploring our desires.

This is not a hardcore BDSM story, but I think it touches on several elements very well. I loved the feelings and descriptions of Tessa’s first visit to a BDSM club and how she felt learning about munches. The writing at this point is very well done and gave me flashbacks to my first visits. The things I was disappointed in include the length and what felt like a rushed ending. After a lot of emotional build up, the end just felt like it exploded in a big rush.
