Review:

Sorcha Black knows how to write sexy D/s. There is such a thing as making Doms too Alpha (i.e asshole dickheads). Some readers like the billionaire playboy type, and on occasion I do as well, but not every Dom has to be this way.

Lock a.k.a Lockley is a Dom with a particular taste for brats. He also realizes kink evolves, which is very, very true. His submissive is Elodie who is wild and sassy. She is Bratty with a capital “B”. For those not familiar with the term in BDSM a “brat” within the BDSM lifestyle is usually applied to a person of a submissive nature who acts up or causes trouble in order to attract attention. This is generally frowned upon as it is classed as topping from the bottom and trying to control the situation. He meets her online and during their first interaction I could already tell it was a match made in BDSM heaven. Her smart mouth paired with his swift hand (or cane, or belt etc). Their relationship moves along and things take a turn when Elodie sees mousey little Tess. She never told Lock she is into girls, so when they hire Tess as their maid, Elodie’s attraction to Tess fires up. She breaks down and confesses to Lock. He is upset but they agree to terms. To both be present when they play with Tess.

Tess is a virgin. She wants to lose her virginity and doesn’t want it to be a big deal. Her meeting someone as kinky and caring as Elodie and Lock was a perfect blend. Elodie was curious and caring. Lock added that perfect amount of dominance that only a male can. It was an absolute pleasure watching Tess and Elodie, Elodie and Lock, and Lock and Tess. Watching all three…goodness!

Elodie is totally devoted to her Dom. It becomes apparent when he asks her for her feelings about Tess. Is it more than play? Is Tess just for her? His male ego is definitely dented a couple times. As a dominant I can identify with wanting to have complete control (of a submissive) all the time but knowing in reality, they are human, and that is not an option. Seeing Lock process and struggle through these emotions with Elodie and Tess made him realistic and an even stronger Dom, in my eyes.

This novel touches on poly relationships, the unicorn submissive, hardcore fantatises such as dub con. The emotional connection develops quickly (but believably). In some D/s situations, especially some that start online, it doesn’t take long to form lasting bonds. The characters are memorable. The sex scenes are scorchers. The story of a Dom taking on not one but two deviant kittens was a pleasure to read. Looking forward to more in the series.

Story Rating: 5 out of 5 paddles

Review:

This is a beautiful novel that moved me in ways I never expected from a BDSM or fantasy novel. I am sure that anyone who reads this book will experience a wide range of emotions as the story unfolds and will fall in love with or deeply hate the characters that Black has created.

Einan, or Ein as she is better known as, was born into a society that is ruled by caste, with Dust being the lowest caste. Whatever caste you are born into is the one you will spend the rest of your life. Her parents scrimp and save to send Ein to a school that educates the daughters that come from high caste families to teach and prepare them to become the trophy wives of powerful men hoping this would improve their daughter a chance at a better life. During Ein’s time at school, she becomes involved with her classmate Seriya and they develop a very deep and intimate relationship which also includes a power exchange dynamic. As classes draw to an end, Ein goes home with Seriya to spend the school holiday. Ein is treasuring every moment she has with Seriya because of Seriya’s upcoming nuptials to Magnusin Saegea. During dinner, Seriys’s father talks about the ongoing Cedesian war that has been going on between the the Cedesians and the kingdom ruled by the Queen.

During the night, people burst into the bedroom and the next thing Ein is being dragged away. When Ein awakes, she finds herself in strange surroundings and surrounded by strangers talking in a language she doesn’t understand. She realizes that she was kidnapped by mistake and that the strange men were after Seriya due to her family’s wealth and high caste status. To save her own life, and hopefully that of her lover, she plays along, letting her captors think that they have the right girl.

I don’t want to give away any more of the story and ruin it for readers. The love that is shared among the characters is breathtakingly beautiful and the strength and courage that Ein shows throughout the entire novel is inspiring. The kink scenes that you find throughout the novel only enhance the story and the love between the main characters. When I first started reading this novel, I didn’t know what to expect but I honestly can not explain how I felt while reading this novel. I laughed, I cried both tears of sadness and tears of joy. As a reader you will not be disappointed with this novel.

Blurb:

Reece and Scarlet have everything a loving couple could want, except a hot kinky sex life. Malachi, an experienced Dom, steps in to help them sort that out. Not only is he a terrible memory from Reece’s past, he’s a smartass and damaged goods too.

As they all learn to trust each other, Malachi becomes more than just their kink coach. It’s a full-on brat smackdown, and no heart gets out unscathed.

Warning: Contains unrepentant brats, surprise orgasms, a Domme with training wheels, and a Dom whose tongue is registered as a weapon of mass seduction

Review:

When Black, Shaw & Silverwood write a book, you know it’s going to be a good one! The Badass Brats Series is probably one of the better written series, by multiple authors, that anyone who enjoys erotica could read!

The relationship between Reece and Scarlet is something that a lot of people aspire to. Their openness with each other, their faults, likes and dislikes, and then you add kink into the relationship and they get just a bit lost. Enter the goofy Malachi. Ah, but there is past history between Reece and Malachi, he has to get her past that to see him as the man he is today, especially when he starts falling for her.

Then Malachi starts falling for Scarlet too, now what’s he going to do? Luckily for them they get that figured out for the most part. Reese realizes she really and truly is a sub, but a brat at times too. This is part of the Badass Brats series for a reason! You will never view a clothespin the same ever again!

The entire story will keep you on the edge of your seat, or bed, or whatever! One of the best scenes in the entire story has to be Scarlet and Malachi and who is stronger. You knew that this was building up to a smackdown and you know who’s going to win, but still, it is so hot that you’re glued to the book and won’t want to put it down!

Once again another spectacular read from the trio! I can honestly say that I love the Badass Brats series and can’t wait for the next one because I know that I’m going to enjoy it just as much as I have the rest of the books in this series! You gals rock!

Review:

The attraction between Gemma and Cross is almost instantaneous. Gemma trying to tattoo the big guy while getting all hot and bothered at the same time. Good thing the big guy is lying down!  Then in walks Izzy, a quirky mouthy Australian with a cute accent. She can’t decide who she’s more attracted to, Gemma or Cross and is she going to have to choose?

Reading how the two mostly vanilla girls get together with a big bad Dom, lots of good laughs. Their bratty behavior is completely natural to them. But are they ready for him and what he wants from them? Watching the attraction grow not only between Gemma and Cross, but Izzy and Cross and then Gemma and Izzy!

They all grow, individually as well as a triad. The ups and downs and the absolute chaos at one point that their relationship goes through!  A good relationship is about give and take, making compromises, and that’s exactly what this triad does, through trial and error. An enjoyable story and a really good read!

Review:

This was a fun romp into the world of BDSM and polyamorous relationships with a funny, caring hunk of a Dom, a bratty sub and a bratty switch keeping the reader entertained.

Q has lusted after Sabrina for years. But while Q is admittedly bi-sexual, Sabrina insists she is straight and refuses to give in to her attraction to Q, although they are friends and roommates.  The situation changes the night they go ghost hunting at a haunted mansion and run into Jude.

Jude is taking his last summer off before starting medical school and is refurbishing the old mansion. When the two girls come across his path, they begin a three way relationship that all are enjoying. Knowing Jude was leaving at the end of the summer, none of them planned to become emotionally involved. Can a straight sub, a bi-sexual switch, and a loving Dom have a lasting relationship?

I loved Jude. While he could be very creative with his playthings, he never did anything that wasn’t for their pleasure. He even enjoyed their brattiness-even when that led to his needing a safeword. Q invoked the reader’s sympathy, and Sabrina added a touch of lightness to the trio.

The book does contain bondage, whipping, flogging, F/F scenes, and F/F/M action.

A satisfying read by a talented group of writers.
