REVIEW

Bella starts off trying to fulfill her pact of seduction by sleeping with another female, which fails miserably. Then at a party Master Kole, who has had a thing for Bella for a while, sets up a scene. Bella never considered herself submissive. She considers submitting to a man as weak. But With Kole his touch melts her. His look sets her on fire and so she agrees.

During the scene they meld perfectly. Kole demands and she submits until the very end when she refuses total submission. Kole ends the scene without letting her orgasm and she thinks she failed him. There’s a little bit of drama and then they then have a final scene. I won’t spoil it, but I will say that first scene was a sizzler. Anyone with an appreciation for a detailed BDSM scene will love Stacey Kennedy’s attention to detail. During the last scene you actually feel Bella’s transformation. It’s a great read and I highly recommend it.

Review:

Taryn is a sub assigned to Dom Blake. They have a scene and in the end after she hot and bothered by his masterful dominance. He doesn’t have sex with her. She turns to find someone she knows standing her being her Dom of the night.

This scene was short at only 25 pages but very hot. I may or may not have read Stacey Kennedy in the past but this refreshes my memory enough to want to add her to my TBR pile. I’d you’re a fan of a little more heavy (spanking, bondage, self pleasure using a toy, detailed and descriptive wording of the acts) a little less (the romance is implied rather than developed) fluffy Bdsm this would satisfy you. It’s a bit richer in detail as far as the D/s exchange between both the sub and Dom.

If I was a vanilla girl this little novella might have given me a cheap thrill! I am not, however a vanilla girl, and I am no stranger to the dynamics of the D/s relationship. Bind Me is definitely not a great read for anyone that knows the BDSM world. There are too many things that frustrated the hell out of me about it and I felt like a Navy Seal watching GI Jane at times.

There really are too many little things that did not sit well with me to go into detail but I will say that as a Dom goes I would not touch Master Reed with a ten foot pole. Firstly because he contradicted himself and went against an expectation he defined in the interview phase. Secondly because he had no restraint whatsoever and any good Dom will tell you that is inexcusable. Thirdly because any dom that leaves a sub during the aftercare phase is despicable, no matter what emotional turmoil he might be going through because he just did the whole cliche omg I need to run away from my emotions thing.

As I said before any vanilla girl that reads this might enjoy it and get a little thrill, but I would warn them that Bind Me is not a good representation of BDSM in any way.

I give 2 paddles out of 5 for some pleasant visual imagery moments in between the moments I was sighing in exasperation.
