This is a wild, wicked, insanely sexual story that leaves one gasping after each sex scene. And there are plenty of scenes happening in all various forms. Be prepared to be on the verge of sexual overload for almost the entire book. This story just begs to be read.

The story takes place in the mythical country of Rajasthan, which is written as a country either someplace in the area of India, or perhaps the replacement for India in this world. The time seems to be sometime during the early 20th century, but actual dates are never exposed, except for a brief mention of one of the characters attending college in England in 1898. The English Empire is still alive and well in this book, and the main character, Cecily Harrowsmith, is a secret agent and spy under the employ of the English government, and the Queen. The plot involves Cecily heading to Rajasthan to find out how the country has survived after England has placed them under an embargo of the energy-rich mineral viridium, for not paying taxes to the English Empire. The plot helps to propel the story forward admirably, and the many sexual scenes that take place all seem to help propel the plotline forward, if you take in to account the subplot of the shift of loyalties of the central character.

There is another subplot that comes out about halfway through the book, which helps explain certain aspects that occur in the first half, and one realizes they are also reading a mystical werewolf story as well. Set as the story is in a parallel world to the one we live in, it fits right in with everything else that occurs. Plus, add in a scene at the end where our heroine ends up having a sexual encounter with said werewolf, we again see how sex is used to propel this story along.

The other main characters in this wonderful story are the Rajah Amir, a genius with mechanical devices, some of which he invents to satisfy his sadistic sexual nature. His brother, the cursed Pratan, who lives most of the time out in the wilds and is the first to interact with Cecily when, disguised as a brigand, he hijacks her  transportation and takes Cecily hostage. The final main character is Sarita, Rajah Amir’s consort, sex slave, and childhood betrothed. Sarita’s character starts out rather one dimensional, but is brought to life the farther in to the story one proceeds.

These four eventually, at one time or another engage in most combinations possible (except for brother/brother), including the aforementioned Werewolf/female sex scene towards the end. Apparently Werewolves are hung extremely well and would put the most endowed porn star to shame. Cecily spends much of the book bound, in one form or another and being used in wonderfully sadistic ways by both brothers, and various diabolical devices created to reduce her to a orgasmic mess time and again.

If you are a fan of the Beauty Trilogy or the Anita Blake series or are simply a fan of kinky, sweat inducing sex scenes, this is the book for you. Buy this book, set aside an evening, have your lube and favorite toy on hand, and enjoy a great read. One handed.

At The Den nothing is off limits… In an idyllic mountain setting on a dozen secluded acres of land, Master Damien Lowell has made his spectacular Colorado home—the Den—available to a select group of people. Doms and subs are invited to explore the intricate nuances of dominance and submission, of sadism and masochism, of exquisite bondage, and strict discipline.

The Den—where the wildest of fantasies becomes reality, lives are transformed, and limits are shattered.

I found parts of this book a bit unsettling, but it was overall a good read, with some hot BDSM scenes and a likable couple in the lead roles.

Sydney Wallace is a bit of a brat as a sub, and all she is looking for is a fuck buddy who will give her the pain – and the orgasms – she craves. Michael Dayton is a Dom with a somewhat similar outlook, but from the beginning Sydney challenges him both as a Dom and in her avoidance of a real relationship. Can these two find an HEA?

Sydney is a strong woman, who lusts for adventure and doesn’t want to be tied down. Michael is a yummy cowboy Dom, who wants to be the one in control in the bedroom-and demands respect outside it, but doesn’t want a slave.

My issues had to do with Michael’s pushing Sydney into things she didn’t want without talking to her first and the amount of pain Sydney wanted. But the story was hot enough and intriguing enough to overcome my doubts. The book contains bondage, spanking, flogging, and anal play and a lot of details.

Overall a good read.

Welcome to the Den, where limits are shattered…

I invite you to get Mastered, at the Den, an exclusive BDSM house in the privacy of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Six sexy, relentless Doms will stop at nothing to ensure their subs have their needs met and their boundaries tested.

Sydney Wallace loves travel and adventure, and she craves BDSM scenes. What she doesn’t want, however, is a Dom who will tie her down emotionally. (Physically, with ropes, is a different story, though!)

Master Michael Dayton isn’t just a Dom, he’s a cowboy, a rancher with deep roots. Dom and sub couldn’t be more different.

One magical summer in high school, I fell in love with cowboys. My best friend was a barrel racer, and I travelled the local rodeo circuit with her. I will always remember sitting in the grandstands, baking under a relentless Western sun, cheering for her. The days were long, hot, dusty, and filled with anticipation, great success, and terrible disappointments. She hauled a horse trailer behind her aged pickup truck, and it was a lot of work to load and unload her beautiful brown horse.

As part of the rodeo festivities, there were also dances held either on a Friday or Saturday night. The cowboys I met were real gentlemen, with fabulous manners. They’d tip their hat in greeting, and I’d nearly swoon.

So it was natural that I’d want to write about a cowboy, one as intriguing as the men I’d fallen in love with.

The Mastered series from Total-E-Bound Publishing is set in Winter Park, Colorado, and there are still working ranches in the nearby area. The land is rugged, and untamed, much like Master Michael. He’s everything Sydney wants, and because of his commitment to his land and way of life, he’s terrifying to her, threatening the freedom she’s sworn never again to give up.

It’s interesting to me that we’re often attracted to people who are so different from who we are. And that’s exactly what happens to Sydney. She’s a single child, born to world-travelling parents. She only keeps a small condo to call home, and to her it’s simply a place where she can regroup and plan her next adventure.

To Master Michael, home isn’t simply a place, it’s a part of who he is. Sierra Cartwright

But Master Michael understands Sydney in a way no one else does. He has one belief about being a good Dom. He must be the best Dominant possible in order to allow her the freedom to be the submissive she wants to be.

For the first time in her life, Sydney is with a man who gives her what she craves sexually. And he’s certainly creative. Because he has hundreds of secluded acres of land, they’re able to scene outdoors. No matter how imaginative Sydney is, Master Michael is even more daring. After all, he knows all about various knots, and he knows how to tie a lasso. (Okay, deep dark confession…I had a cowboy lasso me once, and it was everything I thought it could be!)

Master Michael is as tough physically as he is emotionally, and he needs to be in order to deal with a woman as headstrong and fiercely independent as Sydney.

She learns he’s a man she can rely on, someone she comes to trust. The trouble is, he also demands everything she has to give.

The experience of trying to create a relationship challenges them both, leaving them forever changed…

Joanna Carter needs a scintillating interview from hunky, jet-setting billionaires, Giff and Josh Spencer. When they show her their island—and their dungeon—Jo knows it’s folly to resist.

Joanna Carter earned—and carelessly dashed—a reputation as a hard-driving journalist. Now she has a chance to resurrect her career by interviewing her childhood friends and billionaire brothers, Giff and Josh Spencer. The men were once her next door neighbors. Now, they have bad press as playboys and Jo figures they need her as much as she needs them.

But when they fly Jo to their private island, dumping her laptop, her camera, and her tape recorder, they cuff her and usher her into their private dungeon. Then they thrill her with replays of their loving when all of them were young.

Yet now that they are older, is it wise to resurrect the BDSM and menage that fulfilled them? And what happens to Jo’s career if she throws over a good interview for lots of their good loving?

Should a woman give up everything for two men who once meant the world to her?

Joanna grew up with Giff and Josh Spencer and wants to do a story on them to save her career.  The men get her to their island to pick up where they left off.

This is a fast paced read about three friends/lovers reuniting though Joanna isn’t sure what their motivation is in allowing her to meet with them. I had to laugh at the way the men had her board their airplane as it was a little funny.

Not only do they still have their chemistry, they did manage to talk about their feelings, even though Joanna is insecure about what is going on. Some of the old feelings that the men inspired when she was in their dungeon settled her emotions

Abigail has been selected to meet Charles demand of a bride from among her sisters to keep her father and family from ruin. Charles is delighted when he realizes his bride is Abigail. What happens between them is not something Abigail ever expected.

I would not normally have picked up this book on my own as it is a historical novel, but I am so glad I read it and I did not want to put the book down until I finished it. It is a delightful mixture of historical and light BDSM story that I will be reading again in the future. The story captured my imagination and now I want to read more about the sisters that were introduced in this book.

I had to laugh at both Abigail and Charles’ banter as Charles makes it plain that he expects Abigail to obey him, only to realize that she has her own mind. The way he introduces Abigail to BDSM and his expectations is great, and though she tests him, he actually likes that she presents a challenge. I loved some of the secondary characters that really helped the story, especially Aunt Betsy because she reminded me of a few of my aunts. The societal mores that Charles breaks and causes Abigail lots of frustration is also central in this book, but with a twist that Aunt Betsy talks to Abigail about was great.

There is terror at every turn in the mysterious Sleepy Hollow – but there is also plenty of lustful frolicking. Can three lovers thwart the legendary Headless Horseman to be together forever? thelegendofsleepyhollow_800

Schoolmaster Ichabod Crane longs to meet someone that he and his lover, Jonathan, can share their amorous talents with on a regular basis. In the mysterious and secluded glen of Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod is enraptured by the curvy coquette, Katrina Van Tassel, heiress to the Van Tassel Farm. With visions of spending long nights consuming both his lady love with Jonathan, and the spoils of the farm, Ichabod sets out to woo her heart away from the town rowdy, Brom Bones.

Katrina knows a good thing when she sees it, and after witnessing what the amply-endowed Ichabod has to offer, she turns away from the manly affections of Brom Bones and his gang of friends. Instead she offers her ample prizes to Ichabod, with the promise of enjoying his partner Jonathan very soon.

However, soon doesn’t seem it will ever arrive when one night it appears that the fabled Headless Horseman has carried away her vigorous schoolmaster. Forced to marry Brom Bones in order to keep her numerous debaucheries from her father and the rest of the town, she soon discovers that some legends aren’t always as they seem. When Jonathan finally appears, he and Katrina devise a scheme to free her from Brom’s clutches; that calls upon the talents of the Legendary Headless Hessian. Will their tit for tat plan unite the three of them, or will the Horseman have the last laugh?

Excerpt from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow By Washington Irving & Morticia Knight

By the time we had cleared the top of the ladder, Katrina’s ample breasts were exposed to our eyes, her peachy nipples at a hard peak. All that she had left to divest herself of were her undergarments, and she did so slowly and saucily, creating more discomfort for my crotch. I could tell this would not do for what I had planned, wanting to take my time with her tied up to the railing and taking her downstairs as well where I could tie her to a post and whip her. I would not last in this condition.

“My dearest lovers, I’m afraid I need a quick release in order to facilitate this evening’s games more effectively.”

Both Ichabod and I were still near the top of the ladder standing in the loft, and Katrina—now completely nude—crawled over to us. She looked up at Ichabod and winked. He dropped to his knees, and they began to pull at the opening of my pants. Katrina tugged them down to my ankles, whilst Ichabod cupped my bollocks with his long fingers, teasing and tickling the underside in the way he knew I loved so well. He then presented my pulsing staff to Katrina, and she sucked it into her mouth greedily, taking it all the way in.

Erica get conned by her best friend into making a bet, which results in her going to Dangerous Liaison for a weekend. Conal is only training Erica as a favor for a friend, but ends up wanting to keep her.

I enjoyed reading Kinky Bet. This is a good story about a young woman that wants to explore BDSM, but has been afraid to take that step. The beginning of the story is very humorous in some ways, especially when Erica realizes the whole bet was a setup to get her to explore those feelings.

The story flows quite well, and I did not want to put it down until I finished it. The scenes are imaginative and the chemistry between Erica and Conal is hot. The author did a good job showing how scary it can be when you are just starting and learning depending on the Dominant and what you may be subject to. In this case, because of timeframes, some things were accelerated that Erica learned and was subject to. The checking about her safeword at each step and checking in that she wanted to continue was something I liked as safety was a constant subject that was brought up as well as the trust issue that subs need to have for their Dom.

This is the first book by Ms. Nash that I have read, and I am looking forward to reading more of her stories.

Texas girl Allison goes to Italy for her friend’s wedding, and meets Nico, Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome. He shows her around Venice, and everything’s going well until her ex, Cole, shows up. Cole is intent on rekindling their relationship, and Nico is intent on actually starting one. Allison has to decide which she wants more: a new start, or a second chance.

It’s a simple, straightforward romance plot, uncluttered by digression or subplot, and it moves along quickly. I think that’s about the best that can be said for it. The rest isn’t as positive.

The writing is mediocre – the dialogue is especially labored, which becomes a serious problem any time there is dirty-talking or verbal back-and-forthing going on. The sex is warm but not hot. The romantic angle is frustratingly one-sided – there doesn’t seem to be any reasonable doubt about what our heroine should do, so while Allison felt conflicted, the reader really didn’t. We were just waiting for her to come to her senses and do the smart thing.

Cole is an enormous jerk, and that’s not quite a complaint: he’s meant to come across that way. Unfortunately, his hotness does not exceed his jerkitude, and so I had a problem understanding why Allison would put up with him at all. (I say this as someone who has a soft spot for both country boys and, as we call ‘em, ring-tailed bastards. He should’ve been a shoe-in.) It made her look like a weak girl with crappy boundaries and no self-esteem, which may have been part of her problem, but was still really frustrating. He uses her, has had a history of using her, and despite the uninhibited sex, their relationship really doesn’t have a future.

Nico, on the other hand, is depicted as genuinely warm and caring. I was afraid she was going to lean too much on the suave and sophisticated angle, but the author kept it understated instead of parading it, and I liked Nico very much. There was nothing artificial or affected about him. He seemed like a good catch from the very beginning. I liked him a lot. (An accomplishment, since I go for bad boys, and Nico isn’t. At all.)

The sex is . . . well . . . Allison mostly has sex with Cole. And because he’s a boorish, oafish, really selfish jerk, it’s not the best sex. Allison likes it, but it left me unsatisfied. I really think this may be a case where the bad guy is legitimately infuriating enough to un-arouse me.

The kink is all great in theory – bondage, some verbal humiliation, some spanking with a belt. But, again, because Cole is driving, it’s mostly frustrating. He’s . . . terrible with the manipulation and domination, no sophistication or style or subtlety, no real menace, no real force, so it just didn’t work for me. We’re told he’s dynamite in the sack, but I wasn’t convinced.

The parts with Nico worked pretty darn well for me, though. It did feel forced when Allison got angry with him, and I was super-frustrated by that.

And the resolution was unsatisfying. The decision was taken out of the heroine’s hands by an out-of-nowhere complication. She chooses to pick up the pieces, yes, but she doesn’t choose to turn Cole out on his ass, and it weakened the story. We never get to see Allison be strong or decisive, and that is consistently annoying.

So, overall, not great. A nice, romantic story, but unsatisfying in several key ways. Not particularly recommended, but not a steer-clear, either.

As a sub, Shara wants to prove to herself that she’s the one who is really in control. Shara is about to get a paddling, one that will test her pain threshold and take her to new levels. The stud-covered paddle will undoubtedly hurt, but she’s determined to show her Dom, John, that she can take whatever he can give her. John is determined to show Shara that saying their safe word when she can’t take any more is an act of trust, not one of her being weak. Her safety is his primary concern and he will stop play if he feels she’s approaching the point where even subspace won’t save her. Together they go on a journey of discovery, where Shara battles with relinquishing that final nugget of herself she’s always held back. Will she trust him enough to admit he was right and she was wrong?

Hot! I love this story and the message it sends. Shara has wanted to test her pain threshold and tonight she gets to do just that. John is worried that she will not safe word if the pain becomes too much.

The chemistry between Shara and John was explosive. The sex scenes were hot. I enjoyed the message the short story seemed to tell at the same time. Having your Dom know you will safe word if it’s necessary is an important part of safe play.

The writing was great. The story was well formed. At forty-five pages, this was a great short story that packs a punch.

I never read the original Wuthering Heights because it was never required reading in school and I never felt the desire to. Once I started reading this book for the review I found myself completely confused. I couldn’t tell what this author wrote versus the original. It was only during the first BDSM scene did I realize it was part of the new content written in the voice of Emily Bronte.

After trying to finish this book I had to give up at about 170 pages into it. I didn’t find it fun to read and it just didn’t hold my attention. There wasn’t even enough BDSM content to keep me interested. This is my first DNF and it bothers the hell out of me, but I didn’t have it in me to continue any further. Maybe someone read the original and truly enjoyed it and would be interested in reading this version. This was not for me.
