There is terror at every turn in the mysterious Sleepy Hollow – but there is also plenty of lustful frolicking. Can three lovers thwart the legendary Headless Horseman to be together forever? thelegendofsleepyhollow_800

Schoolmaster Ichabod Crane longs to meet someone that he and his lover, Jonathan, can share their amorous talents with on a regular basis. In the mysterious and secluded glen of Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod is enraptured by the curvy coquette, Katrina Van Tassel, heiress to the Van Tassel Farm. With visions of spending long nights consuming both his lady love with Jonathan, and the spoils of the farm, Ichabod sets out to woo her heart away from the town rowdy, Brom Bones.

Katrina knows a good thing when she sees it, and after witnessing what the amply-endowed Ichabod has to offer, she turns away from the manly affections of Brom Bones and his gang of friends. Instead she offers her ample prizes to Ichabod, with the promise of enjoying his partner Jonathan very soon.

However, soon doesn’t seem it will ever arrive when one night it appears that the fabled Headless Horseman has carried away her vigorous schoolmaster. Forced to marry Brom Bones in order to keep her numerous debaucheries from her father and the rest of the town, she soon discovers that some legends aren’t always as they seem. When Jonathan finally appears, he and Katrina devise a scheme to free her from Brom’s clutches; that calls upon the talents of the Legendary Headless Hessian. Will their tit for tat plan unite the three of them, or will the Horseman have the last laugh?

Review

Erica get conned by her best friend into making a bet, which results in her going to Dangerous Liaison for a weekend. Conal is only training Erica as a favor for a friend, but ends up wanting to keep her.

I enjoyed reading Kinky Bet. This is a good story about a young woman that wants to explore BDSM, but has been afraid to take that step. The beginning of the story is very humorous in some ways, especially when Erica realizes the whole bet was a setup to get her to explore those feelings.

The story flows quite well, and I did not want to put it down until I finished it. The scenes are imaginative and the chemistry between Erica and Conal is hot. The author did a good job showing how scary it can be when you are just starting and learning depending on the Dominant and what you may be subject to. In this case, because of timeframes, some things were accelerated that Erica learned and was subject to. The checking about her safeword at each step and checking in that she wanted to continue was something I liked as safety was a constant subject that was brought up as well as the trust issue that subs need to have for their Dom.

This is the first book by Ms. Nash that I have read, and I am looking forward to reading more of her stories.

Review:

Texas girl Allison goes to Italy for her friend’s wedding, and meets Nico, Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome. He shows her around Venice, and everything’s going well until her ex, Cole, shows up. Cole is intent on rekindling their relationship, and Nico is intent on actually starting one. Allison has to decide which she wants more: a new start, or a second chance.

It’s a simple, straightforward romance plot, uncluttered by digression or subplot, and it moves along quickly. I think that’s about the best that can be said for it. The rest isn’t as positive.

The writing is mediocre – the dialogue is especially labored, which becomes a serious problem any time there is dirty-talking or verbal back-and-forthing going on. The sex is warm but not hot. The romantic angle is frustratingly one-sided – there doesn’t seem to be any reasonable doubt about what our heroine should do, so while Allison felt conflicted, the reader really didn’t. We were just waiting for her to come to her senses and do the smart thing.

Cole is an enormous jerk, and that’s not quite a complaint: he’s meant to come across that way. Unfortunately, his hotness does not exceed his jerkitude, and so I had a problem understanding why Allison would put up with him at all. (I say this as someone who has a soft spot for both country boys and, as we call ‘em, ring-tailed bastards. He should’ve been a shoe-in.) It made her look like a weak girl with crappy boundaries and no self-esteem, which may have been part of her problem, but was still really frustrating. He uses her, has had a history of using her, and despite the uninhibited sex, their relationship really doesn’t have a future.

Synopsis:

As a sub, Shara wants to prove to herself that she’s the one who is really in control. Shara is about to get a paddling, one that will test her pain threshold and take her to new levels. The stud-covered paddle will undoubtedly hurt, but she’s determined to show her Dom, John, that she can take whatever he can give her. John is determined to show Shara that saying their safe word when she can’t take any more is an act of trust, not one of her being weak. Her safety is his primary concern and he will stop play if he feels she’s approaching the point where even subspace won’t save her. Together they go on a journey of discovery, where Shara battles with relinquishing that final nugget of herself she’s always held back. Will she trust him enough to admit he was right and she was wrong?

Review:

Hot! I love this story and the message it sends. Shara has wanted to test her pain threshold and tonight she gets to do just that. John is worried that she will not safe word if the pain becomes too much.

The chemistry between Shara and John was explosive. The sex scenes were hot. I enjoyed the message the short story seemed to tell at the same time. Having your Dom know you will safe word if it’s necessary is an important part of safe play.

The writing was great. The story was well formed. At forty-five pages, this was a great short story that packs a punch.

Review:

I never read the original Wuthering Heights because it was never required reading in school and I never felt the desire to. Once I started reading this book for the review I found myself completely confused. I couldn’t tell what this author wrote versus the original. It was only during the first BDSM scene did I realize it was part of the new content written in the voice of Emily Bronte.

Review:

This exploration of a D/s relationship between a fiercely independent woman and a dedicated Dom is a good read, with a satisfying story and a fully developed relationship between the main characters.

Julia is shocked at the wedding of her best friend to see her friend kneel and ask for her husband’s collar. Before she can leave, Marcus steps forward to answer her questions-and offers to show her a night of submission.

After escaping a relationship that verged on abusive, Julia isn’t eager to lose herself to another man. But Marcus offers a temptation she can’t refuse-one night as a submissive.

The one night leads to several, and Marcus realizes he wants Julia full time. But Julia still insists she doesn’t want that. Can the two of them overcome their differing viewpoints?

The book is hot and contains bondage, spanking, flogging, tawsing, and more.

Review:

I enjoyed this version of Jane Austen’s book Northanger Abbey. Catherine’s character was very interesting and showed an interest in reading and experimenting with erotica. When she was in Bath, one of her new friends also describe a very interesting BDSM scene she had dreamed of.  Because of a misunderstanding, Catherine gets invited to Northanger Abbey, and while there, she is introduced to BDSM by Henry. Catherine is a very willing student and the scenes between the two are hot.

I had not read Ms. Austen’s version of this story even though I have read most of her works. I really enjoyed this version as I think the way Ms. Holt revised this story was great. Knowing how most of Ms. Austen’s books are, I thought Ms. Holt did a great job weaving the BDSM and sex scenes into the story seamlessly.

I wanted to slap some the secondary characters because of their behavior. I could visualize most of the characters in the story and would have loved to meet some of them. I will be reading this one again.

This book hit several of my “really don’t like this” triggers.  One is it is part of a serial, which is different than a series.  In a series, there is a definite ending. In the serial, the reader is left hanging-which is the case here.  The second thing is bringing in another couple and their relationship, which has zero bearing on the plot.  So Vanessa and Ben are friends of the heroine, Lydia, but if the author wants to explore their May-December relationship, she should give them their own book, not take away from Lydia’s story.

My other issue is the lack of condoms.  The second couple finally use one, but most of the time people hop in and out of bed without any protection at all.

Having said all that, I really want to read the end of this story.  Lydia is a violinist with the Westminster Symphony Orchestra and is madly in love with Milan, a gifted violinist who keeps getting in the way of his own career. She finally leaves him when she finds him having sex with another woman, and takes up with von Ritter, the new conductor of the orchestra.  She learns he is a Dom and enjoys submitting to him, he never takes things all the way, although he gives her breath taking orgasms.  Then he has the same woman who was sleeping with Milan give him a blow job and Lydia leaves him behind as well.  The book ends with both men saying they want Lydia, but she is taking time away from both of them.

Detective Zach Pierce has made many enemies, but his attraction to Faye is too strong to be denied. Can Pierce protect his submissive from those who seek to use her against him, or will her devotion to her Dom cost Faye her life?
Review:
If you are you looking for a little kinky with your dose of NCIS then this book is the perfect one for you. (The book is not connected to NCIS but for some reason for me is was like watching a kinky version of NCIS or CIS Miami).
Faye is  a very sexy forensic scientist who is partnered up with Zach Pierce, a strong Dom policeman. They are both to afraid to admit the attraction they both have for each other. I love the fact that this book for me was more like a normal relationship and even though is categorize as a BDSM novel it can be a great read even for those that enjoy a little kink with there romance. I’m not saying that the story is not hot and kinky because believe me when I say it is.
The plot of the story was perfect and the flow allows the reader to connect with the characters in such personal level. This book is a perfect balance of sex and mystery.
Ms Vakenti is a new author for me and I found myself wanting more on every turn of the page. I will deftly recommend this book to every one that want a little suspense and mystery with there BDSM
My secret inner DOM is ordering you to buy this book.

Summary:

Alison’s happy to submit to the right man, but when Aaron asks her to switch places with him, the last thing she expects is to enjoy it.

Alison has a problem. She knows better than to come without her Dom’s permission, but she just finished without him even being in the house, all thanks to a book he bought her along with some peppermint oils from their kitchen cabinet.

Aaron’s a good Dom and always takes care of his subs. When he wanted Alison to achieve subspace, he bought her books where the characters did just that. And now, he’s been mentally training her with books without her knowing it.

That is, until the peppermint oils. When Aaron returns home, he not only smells the oils on her, but he can taste them as well. Assured Alison does more with her books than just reading them for pleasure, Aaron’s ready to take their mental training to a whole new level.

Review:

Once I read the summery I figured that this book would be another naughty sub gets punished book.  I was delighted to find out it was not what I expected it to be.  The author did a great job putting a new twist on something that could have been just like other books.

I loved that Aaron has been reading the same books that he gives to Allison.  It showed that he cares. The author did a good job of maintaining the heat from the very beginning of the story to the very end.
