This is a wild, wicked, insanely sexual story that leaves one gasping after each sex scene. And there are plenty of scenes happening in all various forms. Be prepared to be on the verge of sexual overload for almost the entire book. This story just begs to be read.
The story takes place in the mythical country of Rajasthan, which is written as a country either someplace in the area of India, or perhaps the replacement for India in this world. The time seems to be sometime during the early 20th century, but actual dates are never exposed, except for a brief mention of one of the characters attending college in England in 1898. The English Empire is still alive and well in this book, and the main character, Cecily Harrowsmith, is a secret agent and spy under the employ of the English government, and the Queen. The plot involves Cecily heading to Rajasthan to find out how the country has survived after England has placed them under an embargo of the energy-rich mineral viridium, for not paying taxes to the English Empire. The plot helps to propel the story forward admirably, and the many sexual scenes that take place all seem to help propel the plotline forward, if you take in to account the subplot of the shift of loyalties of the central character.
There is another subplot that comes out about halfway through the book, which helps explain certain aspects that occur in the first half, and one realizes they are also reading a mystical werewolf story as well. Set as the story is in a parallel world to the one we live in, it fits right in with everything else that occurs. Plus, add in a scene at the end where our heroine ends up having a sexual encounter with said werewolf, we again see how sex is used to propel this story along.
The other main characters in this wonderful story are the Rajah Amir, a genius with mechanical devices, some of which he invents to satisfy his sadistic sexual nature. His brother, the cursed Pratan, who lives most of the time out in the wilds and is the first to interact with Cecily when, disguised as a brigand, he hijacks her transportation and takes Cecily hostage. The final main character is Sarita, Rajah Amir’s consort, sex slave, and childhood betrothed. Sarita’s character starts out rather one dimensional, but is brought to life the farther in to the story one proceeds.
These four eventually, at one time or another engage in most combinations possible (except for brother/brother), including the aforementioned Werewolf/female sex scene towards the end. Apparently Werewolves are hung extremely well and would put the most endowed porn star to shame. Cecily spends much of the book bound, in one form or another and being used in wonderfully sadistic ways by both brothers, and various diabolical devices created to reduce her to a orgasmic mess time and again.
If you are a fan of the Beauty Trilogy or the Anita Blake series or are simply a fan of kinky, sweat inducing sex scenes, this is the book for you. Buy this book, set aside an evening, have your lube and favorite toy on hand, and enjoy a great read. One handed.
